What scam projects, just because you don't like how some projects went doesn't make them a scam? And as far as I know Vitalik came out to say he won't be an advisor on any new ICOs.

A crash of ETH will end in an unbelievable lost of trust in every cryptocurrency. Many, many people (me too) came into the market, because they heard of ETH. If these people will loose all their money, they will never invest money again. Marketcap ...? Worst case: This people will demand regulation! Finally a crash of ETH will be the best for the system. Because it authorizes the system to take control. So take care of your wishes... Another Bitcoin clown. (...) Really? Maybe I am not the biggest clown in here then... EVERY Crypto? Thats idiotic. Nobody loses faith in BMW when General Motors goes down in flames. The money is there, people want to invest. Crypto is already starting to get well established. BTC will suck up 50% of ETH market cap, rest goes into other alts. Maybe 5% "lose faith", they are pretty much irrelevant. More money is pouring in over the long course. Clowns here. Indeed...

Counter argument: Should Ethereum collapse, more Fiat will stream into Bitcoin for lack of established alternatives in the Cryptocurrency space.
This doesn't needs to happen, there is a plenty of others coins which are waiting for this event. Stratis, ETC, and bunch of others will receive good injection .. ...
I do not know much about ethereum, so take my comments for what they worth (extremely little).
Ethereum is, to some degree or other backed by THE BANKS (including JP Morgan), which just by itself makes me a little queasy. Ethereum also performs other functions (it's designed to not "just be a currency"). I like simple things, that is, Bitcoin is meant to be used as a currency, it makes no claims to preserve copies of contracts, etc. (although there are some clever programs that somewhat have the BTC Blockchain do that).
So I will stick with BTC as long as there appears to be progress on solving the scaling problem.
This is why i'm not in ETH i do not like those corporate names involving in something that supposed to be a people's money. Actually i don't even need to know more!

i agree with this. in short term there may be some turbulence if the market maker decides but the fall of ether means a lot of money will come back to bitcoin market. and hopefully people start thinking more next time they want to invest in an altcoin that only advertises against bitcoin to make itself popular and pump the price up. I thought Ethereum was being developed by Microsoft? Highly doubtful that it would outright collapse. With that said, I am not too well versed about it, so my opinion isn't very strong here.
apparently those shills who have not been online for days now done their job pretty well! no my friend you have fallen for a big lie. Microsoft or any other legit company would never get involved with something like ethereum. if they were in the same place with them or talked about blockchain technology and its future doesn't mean they are involved!

Ethereum and Bitcoin, the reality is that the project is very different and has different intentions. Bitcoin has emerged as a relatively stable digital currency, while Ethereum aims to include more, with ether being only a component of its smart contract application.

MSFT AND IBM are using ETH already. Bitcoin will be in the #2 place soon. Wow, when people shill for Ethereum and then have the guts to ask other people if they shill for Bitcoin, then you have to ask yourself, wtf are wrong with people. This is a Bitcoin forum, hence the name ---> Bitcointalk.org. <--- Here we primarily talk about Bitcoin. We do not promote Alt coins or even shill for it. You have to be blind, not to see that Ethereum is a ScamCoin. Claiming that Microsoft is invested in Ethereum is WRONG, they showed interest in the technology/idea behind it.... like companies that are interested in the Blockchain technology... not in Bitcoin. Just shows how little people know and how they will twist the facts to suit them and their hidden agendas.

So you prefer bitcoin because of the price of bitcoin? I choose ethereum because this is the coin that you can use to earn more bitcoin, this is the coin that you will never afraid to invest. Because I hope this ethereum price will become x2 or x3 or more, many projects are in this coin so I have a big trust in this coin.

We all know ETH was pumped up because of the Hype and will never beat BTC and its fame. Its actually the other way around, ETH investors want to hurt BTC and want them to pull towards ETH. But that is never going to happen because ETH cant get that much of adaptation as BTC. The balloon will be popped.

This thread made me dizzy.
It seems to suggest we necessarily have to choose between the two. It doesn't sound to me like that though.
If anyone doesn't trust the hype that characterizes ETH right now, then perhaps a simple avoidance from it would suffice. No other crypto could replace the spot of bitcoin, after all. However, there are still people whose trust remains with the high ETH value. Let them be, then.
I don't suggest anything but I think I will be putting a little amount to ETH.

Ethereum's collapse is going to hurt Bitcoin more than MtGox. When you have mainstream media spreading FUD about Bitcoin and you have them hype up a ScamCoin like Ethereum, you must know that they are desperate. They like the fact that it has a centralized authority and they like the fact that you have UNLIMITED coins. {More or less the same thing Fiat currencies have in common with them} Have a look at this --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UBk1e5qnr4 { Ethereum Vs. Bitcoin: What Sets Them Apart? | CNBC } The SEC has not even defined what Ethereum is yet, and if it is classed as a security... the Founders and Developers will be guilty of trading in unregistered securities. Wow, why are people looking the other way, when Ethereum is clearly a Ponzi Scheme? { Greed? } For me is not collapse, it's just speculation. We can't judge because the price going down so fast, there's a lot of player & exchanger use it for their business. Too early to say that or maybe you got " panic sell " or wrong take buy area. Keep calm and follow your strategy nicely but don't forget using stop loss. Good luck.

It's true. People have options to choose now a days. And the fiat as you said will be driven toward the loved bitcoin. Also not to mention that people are already very interested in the bitcoin as compared to ethereum so they make little investment into it. :-) Whatever it is, eth will never catch the big fish.

Finally a crash of ETH will be the best for the system. Because it authorizes the system to take control.
What do you suggest, who will be taking control of the system,if you are talking about bitcoin,no one can, because it is a truly decentralized network and no one can take control of it,if you are into crypto currency because of ETH,it is your problem, from the first day it was meant to be a centralized coin with unlimited supply and all they do is invite business proposals to use their platform.

You do not need to think twice about bitcoin and the best thing is that, the best investment would be the coin that you are able to grab at a very low price and if you are able to do so,then that would be the biggest thing you can do,i would invest in a good ICO and then plan on converting it back to bitcoin and save for the future than trusting on ETH.
