Did he pay back every one already ? i dint get mine Sad

No. He's asking for Identification now to have a partial refund. Of course many do not trust him with their identification.

Seriously? That's ridiculous. If we weren't asked for identification upon depositing our coins we shouldn't be asked for identification now.

He's asking for identification so that strangers don't go and just hack everyone's email to go request coins to their own BTC address. So then the returned coins are stolen AGAIN.

Good grief people. Can't you think?
no, that makes no sense. he has no way to verify who the original account holder is, since name/ID was never required. no matter what, he can't verify anything. he is just trying to minimize payouts by deterring people. because after all, who the hell wants to give this possible scammer their dox?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

The account holder is required to have access to two things to access their funds.

1. their account password, or the password of their email address
2. the PIN code

In order to make TF give you a refund, you need one thing

1. the password of their email address

Much fewer requirements. If the email is compromised, hackers will IMMEDIATELY hop on and tell TF to send a refund to their address. What can you even do with the ID of a random person who owns money on a random web wallet?

Nothing.

God, People are idiots.

The only reason why it would matter if someone showed their ID, is if it turns out that they HAVE hacked someone else's email account and DID actually send to TF an email requesting a refund.

1. We've had tons of forged email headers - including gmail ones that are missing the gmail authentication, but still flagged as valid. Someone even forged as admin@glados.cc.
2. We've had reports of people finding out attempted access to their email accounts. The attacker has everyone's email address and balance to know who to target.
3. We do not want to give any more coins to the attacker.

But what about CL refunds. It was a week now since you said we would get an update TF. If you have read my emails (I don't know because you didn't reply) you know the situation.

Please make progress on this today, it should be a priority.

Will you let the people who still have a balance on inputs.io cash out eventually?
Or did you repay the stolen money with non-stolen money from my accounts?

^ This.

If it isn't obvious that TF is using others money to repay fractions of people's investments to preserve what little trust people still have in him for another dark day then you need to go get a breath of fresh air.

Why not bait him in some way? Make some ip logging form or sms verification which they might fall for?

the attacker cant have our btc address.
when we deposit btc in inputs.io, we use a btc address.
So, how about use this address and email to distinct the attacker and real user?

Just reply to the email. If he forged the email header then the reply wont get back to him.

Ask the user to verify that they sent the request. (Put a random number in the title.)

Unless he's sitting outside your door, that should be safe.

By their (dumb) fruits shall ye know them indeed...

We obviously can't trust him to secure our coins, so what makes you think I'm going to provide him with my identification?

Quite some, you don't want a copy of your ID roaming through the net, do you?
In addition being known as early Bitcoiner+accessibkle RL data might mark you as a good target one day.
