I will give bitcoin as a wedding gift for those newly married couple because they can cash it out as soon as they want to cash it out or if they need money and it is a good idea for me because giving bitcoins in a paper wallet is a very unique gift in my opinion and for sure they will get curious on what am i giving to them.
I would love to. If one of my friends is a member of a bitcoin group, I will give him a  bitcoi  as a wedding gift. For sure my friend knows how to use it and I am worry free because it's up to him or his partner whether they save it or they will invest it. I will be delighted if it helps them to save up money for their future plans and and the same time I become more productive through helping others to become a bigger community as a bitcoiner. It is perhaps a monetary gift for the couple but I know some people like it because it is indeed useful for personal purpose and the like.

What? I think it is not ideal for you to giver a cryptocurrency at a wedding event. Come on man it is money and what they want is an item than can help them when they start living together, what I mean about that is a piece of item that has a real use for them in their own house like toasters, oven, and other appliances. Giving them a cryptocurrency especially if they don't know what is it could be a burden for them.

It is such a great idea, and for those who receive coins as a little token of future well wishes, will someday have a reallly nice "nest egg".  A small fortune will some day become a substantial wealth, in. Bitcoin.

What better way to secure some future riches than to give Bitcoin to the newlyweds.   Cool idea!   Wink

It is a good idea to give some bitcoin as wedding gift, rather than buy something that maybe the couple not going to used or giving fiat that have inflation rate, bitcoin seems is better than those things, but just need to make sure they understand what is bitcoin and how to used it and they can saved it for the future investment

This idea has been on my mind for a very long time, to give my best Friend a half Bitcoin for his marriage. I feel all the gifts are boring and they are not worth the time and this would be the best idea. Also I would love to receive bitcoins as gifts when I marry that will help me plan my retirement very well. People are yet to awake to this but I feel that this is the best gift to give people so to make sure they really make most of their wedding lives with extra Cushing of money.

Nice idea. I wish when I marry would receive also this kind of gift. This is the best idea that would replace instead of fiat currency which is normally used in our country. Maybe if this would be your gift in your wedding it was so a special gift to you. Bitcoin was a unique gift as well. More bitcoin gifts, happier. You can save more bitcoins in your wallet. I think you would earn a lot if you save it more in your web wallet because bitcoin price now was really high.

If its a real bitcoin "coin" then i can give it to him but it really matters when the person getting it knows the price of bitcoin and is familiar with bitcoins otherwise he will think it as another normal coin.

Certainly. My friends are into bitcoin so they will be happy if I would give bitcoin as a wedding gift. Since bitcoin has a higher rate some other time for sure couples will handle something useful and bigger amount soon. And, I agree to what you say that it's really up to them-whether they'll spend it or invest it. Chances are the longer you save it the higher it's increasing rate soon. Though there are cases that it may drop but then what's more important is that I give them bitcoin as my wedding gift and the importance of their marriage will somehow be fruitful as well as using bitcoin as their future expenses when it grows or rise.

Bitcoin is too expensive and rare to give as gift.  Grin

I'm kidding... But yeah, I think the traditional gifts are more appropriated for this occasion, like stuff for the house and the beginning of the couple's life together. Bitcoin isn't a good gift for a wedding in my opinion, it doesn't make much sense. However, someday in the future it could be a trend and everyone will start doing it for fashion.  Tongue

I thought I would change it to something of equal value but more people are known. Meanwhile, my lover does not know what Bitcoin is. For a normal person, some BTCs they would think are normal, but for people like me it is a fortune. I will use that bitcoin to prepare for the wedding and later life

I did not do that. Give a gift for the wedding. Only the money used to give the gift comes from the bitcoin I got and I save it. But not at the wedding but the wife's birthday party, I bought a gold necklace from bitcoin widraw result to money. I am very grateful to get to know bitcoin so it always helps my life.

You should donate or gift such a precious thing like bitcoin to someone who knows it's worth . Giving it to someone on wedding who doesn't know it’s value will be stupidity because he himself will think of bitcoin as useless thing for him and you also would have to sacrifice your dear bitcoin . Rather you should have it and use it after your married life and stay happy in future.

Well this is really new, I have not thought about this but if the person wants to why not right? There are no rules that you can't make bitcoin as a wedding gift. Especially if you know that the couple knows and have the knowledge of bitcoin why not right?. In that way they have money online that they can invest on in the future especially when they will have kids. Its important for them that they have savings and I know by the time in how many years bitcoin will be known all over the world and surely the market price of it is over board than what we have right now. I never thought of giving bitcoin as a wedding gift but its really up to you. As I said there is no rules of it that you can't and the couple won't deny it because its a gift. You gave it for a reason even if they don't know about bitcoin you can teach them about it so they have an investment for the future of them.  Smiley

Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

Well that can happen as long as your lover also likes bitcoin. It's the most novel idea I've ever heard. I think there are more meaningful things than giving you bitcoin, although for me bitcoin is a potential future.

For a couple, I do not think you should donate bitcoin as a gift. They are a new couple, I think the gifts that are material will be better. Bitcoin is not appropriate here.

Only people who know about Bitcoin realize its value, and they will view it as a great gift. Conversely, if they do not know about it, your pass will not make sense

This is more like what I saw in an interview where the parents give birthday presents to their kids, but in the form of stock certificates. This would be almost similar to that idea of giving bitcoin as a gift to newly weds. And if they plan on having their honeymoon in Japan, chances are they are going to find plenty of shops accepting bitcoin as payment option.

For sure! Bitcoin would make a great wedding gift. Lots of people might think your a nerd... well, for a couple decades until they needed to buy some and you and your wife are multimillionaires. Cheesy

I just don't get why bitcoin? Wedding is a special occassion so the gift should be meaningful. I'm supporting bitcoin but it just don't feel right.
