Definitely not. While some people find bitcoin as something profitable, that's not the case to other people. This is all a zero sum game. As you're earning money, somebody out there is losing money. We're basically just increasing the pot stake by converting our fiat into bitcoins. After that, we're all basically just taking away money from each other.

Bitcoin can end world poverty. It might be profitable to some, but that will not be the case to all. Just like all the other money making method in the world. Plumbing, for example, is profitable to people that knows how that business work. If I start doing plumbing, I wouldn't make as much as them simply because I don't know it at all. If we all start doing plumbing, it would stop being profitable because everyone's already doing it. This is the same case with bitcoins.

World poverty just can never end.
There will always be people that will do major mistakes in life that would lead to them becoming poor.

Let me see if I get this.

Definitely not, bitcoin can end poverty, world poverty will never end.
You're doing more flip flops than Donald Trump.

maybe but.its hard to understand what its bitcoin for beginners like me. reading many blogs can help but for me it take days for understand. and we dont know site that are legit or fake!!

It is hard to understand?
We'll you got the first step right, open a bitcointalk account , post 1 liners in probably one week I'll see you with a campaign sig.

It wont help to resolve world's poverty but bitcoin can provide someone economical stability. As long as they are knowledgeable on how tho earn bitcoins. Poverty is a very big issue that the world is facing. It would need more focus from the world leaders to reach out the poorest.
It will not provide anything and I believe that bitcoin or even other coins can never solve this issue. Poverty is not only a big issue but it is also a main thing which connects to humankind. If there is not poverty, there will be no human
Correct, a percentage of poverty will always be present, the same thing goes with unemployment. Bitcoin cannot solve or even alleviate the impact of poverty,
the only thing it can do, in rare and individual cases, to make you earn an extra income. For example, if I'm taught about mining, I might be able to make some
extra money, but that's a whole different thing which has nothing to do with poverty.

You can learn anything you want about mining but won't solve your problem.
To start earning from mining you first need capital to invest in gear.
So it means that from the start your are not poor as you can afford those.

Of course it won't solve your issue, if you can hardly get by, you won't have the sufficient funds to invest into mining, not to mention how unstable mining currently is.
It can hardly even have an effect on someone, it can just help you earn some extra cash supposing you have the funds or the necessary equipment to do so. If you live
on the poverty line, none of these really matter.

R

If anything the inequality is getting higher every year the richer are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, bitcoin is money, and the only purpose of money is to facilitate trade, the mission of bitcoin is not to end poverty, that is not going to be possible at all since that is the way our economic system is designed, there are winners and there are losers.
bitcoin has provided opportunities to millions of people not to just some wealthy dudes. It has made many poor people rich. Capitalism and open market system is an enemy to end poverty while bitcoin is a chance an opportunity to grab. You can rather buy and hold or you can work online and earn through advertising. So bitcoin is contributing a lot to provide an alternative to control poverty.

Exactly the opposite.
In communism and socialism we were all poor. Trust me as I lived for long years in a former communist country.
And now only 6% of the population is below the poverty line.

And bitcoin, bitcoin is the definition of capitalism.
Who has money to invest will make more money, who is dirt poor and has no money  he will still be dirt poor.
Correct, that is why many people want to emigrate to the US, that is one of the few places where the only thing you need is an idea and the will to make it a reality, in the US there are a lot of stories of people that were very poor and due to hard work and perseverance were able to become rich.

I don't think bitcoin can help end world poverty as poverty is not currencies but a set of values and a product of laziness and slothfulness. I think we can all be rich, prosperous and wealthy if we can work hard intelligently. Bitcoin on the other hand is a reward for hard work it may be through services like signature campaign, programme and others online services or selling of goods and investment.

Exactly. Imagine if all people are not very picky on the jobs that are offered then poverty is going to be lessened to a very low percentage. The mindset of people nowadays is they want a prestigious, easy, and huge salary jobs. So the answer is no it will not. We are, oureselves the problem.

We know that Bitcoin has a lot of advantages. It helped unemployed people to have a source of income while at home. And even helped those who have stable jobs to have another source of income. But I don't think bitcoin can help end world poverty. Proper education can. Even if there are lots of bitcoins available in the world, if people are not well educated and didn't understand its uses and functions it can't help them end poverty.

Even if there are lots of bitcoins available in the world, if people are not well educated and didn't understand its uses and functions it can't help them end poverty.

And think about it, people from the very poor countries don't really have the luxury of online access so it would be very hard for btc to reach out to these places. Bitcoin can make real money for people but it has it's limitations as well especially when it comes to accessibility. Unfortunately, as much as how high our hopes are, poverty can only be ended by governments and the society helping each other out.

According to Ahmed, Akhter U.; Hill, Ruth Vargas; Smith, Lisa C.; Frankenberger, Tim (October 2007). "Characteristics and causes of severe poverty and hunger" based on studies in 20 countries, major causes of poverty were the inability of poor households to invest in property and education, limited access to credit, systematic exclusion of ethnic minorities, scheduled castes, tribes, women and people with disabilities and health issues partially due to these classes not having access to institutions and markets.

Bitcoin and other crypto currencies by the essence have potential to effectively address those issues and produce noticeable improvements. I think we will see results of this during our lifetime.

One of the goal of our project - Traveloco - is to make traveling more affordable for different categories of people including first time travelers, thereby increasing general knowledge about other countries, their history and current issues. We think that increased global awareness of the issues suffered by certain regions will be productive move towards solving the problem of poverty.

Theoretically, bitcoin can save many people from poverty, but in practice all the poor need to provide a computer with the Internet and teach them how to use all this. So while this is on the verge of fiction.

exactly leave IT zone, poor family can even afford day meal as well, bitcoin is only for those who are looking for investor or traders who have sufficient money so they can risk.poor people cant even think to invest money as they do not have enough money to full fill their needs.primary objective is to give them a education and knowledge to improve their financial condition.

Poverty is a serious problem that has not been resolved for thousands of years, even in developed countries even though there is still poverty. Government policy is the main factor that can make poverty drastically decrease.

Government policy can help, but it will never be enough, then that is why some propose communism as the answer but it is not, we must accept the fact there is always going to be a uneven distribution of wealth and we must do our best to get our share of that wealth.

I think Bitcoin only makes rich people richer and richer because the poor are not able to access Bitcoin's technology and trading methods so they can not get rich. On the other hand, They invest in BTC, which makes them richer or not

Governments will never let you live without taxation and they will put all the burdens on the poor people head and never let you grow in the society at all. If you bitcoin do investment or earnings via bitcoins. You may increase economical standard of yours. Corporates will rule the world ever in future not government at all.

If governments don't get on board people simply won't care anymore down the line. There's trillions in offshored money because people are unhappy with the way tax money is being used (wasted). If tax was more transparent and citizens had a word in what is happening with their money, they would not only be happy to pay tax, but those who are well off would even donate. If this doesn't happen however, people will simply pull most of their money out of the system.

The main thing from a libertarian standpoint that bitcoin can do is bring banking to people who are in very rural areas.   I don't know what percentage of people own cell phones vs. owning bank accounts, but I'm sure it's a staggeringly higher number of people that have phones that don't have banks.

I've never tried to use bitcoin on a phone that wasn't technically a newer model phone, so I don't know how well or easy it works on older model phones which I would imagine would be necessary.

I don't think many people in third world countries are rolling around with iphone 7 or Samsung Galaxy.  Can bitcoin be easily used on older flip phones?

Poverty is an universal problem. But still there are majority of people who don't know about bitcoins. Most of people don't know about digital transactions. Most parts of the world still don't have access to internet. So its hardly impossible for bitcoin to end world poverty.

Yes I agree, the existence of the bitcoin should be a solution of the problem of the world, poverty is a problem that must be addressed, the economic imbalances could be reduced if we use the bitcoin.

I think we can never be dependable in bitcoin when it comes to the poverty of the world I think it is not a solution, the real problem is ignorance or uneducated people, let's be honest here, even thought bitcoin is a possible solution to the problem of poverty if people is lack with knowledge or sometimes lazy to do something then how can he manage to overcome this kind of problem, so the real problem is us, so don't depend on bitcoin about this matter because people's nature of being lazy is always gonna come out.
