Seems you are using web wallet. For the case of stand alone wallets, the chances to get hacked is comparatively very low. My suggestion to you and everyone must be, switching over to stand alone wallets and disconnecting them from internet if your bitcoins are intended for saving long term.

There are many guides available everywhere on how to safely enter into cold storage, you may refer them. I am using electrum with few bitcoins into cold storage.

The methods will differ from the type to type of the wallet. If you want to secure your web wallet then you can turn on your 2FA feature which safeguards your account from unauthorized logins. (example: I receive email as well as SMS containing two different codes  to log in my web wallet). For offline wallets (like a paper wallet) you can install wallet generator program and run it on the PC which is not and will never be associated with the internet or even LAN connection.

And it would be nice if you are going to give some tips and not just like this one. Securing our bitcoin wallet is obviously the most important thing here, saving the private key where we are the only who knows where it is, so it is safe from the people who wants to steal your bitcoin. Using Hardware wallet is the most recommended by everyone here since it is too hard to hack and it is trusted than this web wallets.

Using a hardware wallet like Ledger is enough, if you don't want to spend 80$ then you can use blockchain.info with all securty settings activated on a clear computer or virtual machine.

Of course nobody wants to spend or loose 80$ when there's an alternative that offers comparatively same attributes for free. So I guess we will all go for the blockchain.info purse.
The security and having no worries for your money became hack is worth it with the hardware wallet like trezor for me. Because in that case you can access your bitcoin anywhere and in addition it is totally safe for the hackers because the security is being maximize when you are going to use it.

I agree , A hardware wallet is a good wallet like trezor . Trezor have extra security like if you lose your hardware wallet or got stolen you have a way to recover your bitcoins from your wallet. Its just you will invest/buy the hardware wallet. But it seems a good investment for a person who is holding a large amount of bitcoin.

They say better have a hardware wallet or what they called off line wallet, where you can manage your money or bitcoin freely not relying things in online wallet like many people are using, especially those newbies who does not know anything since they were newbie they just looking for easy way, those oldies in bitcoin preferred to use off line wallet, at least unlike online there is third party between you and the money which is the exchange or bitcoin bank.

Yes, that must everyone did in every wallet created. Many people now who thinks they are clever enough to get whatever they want, like hacking coins, for sure many people tried it but in bitcoin I guess they find it hard. However, I even heard that hacker are creating a mechanism to even hack or bypass 2fa security. So we should be more careful and secure.

I know the offline wallet and paper wallet that works for keeping bitcoin for long time and even its secure by reading article . But i never had that much bitcoin to store in offline i always keep in blockchain .info as far my bitcoin is very less i am happy with block chain.
of their own was already preparing a bitcoin bitcoin wallet that is safe enough to be used for users of bitcoin. During this time many are using bitcoin wallet safe-secure, such as a bitcoin digital currency that we can use to easily transfer and secure in its storage in the long term as well as short. to secure a bitcoin can you could use such a bitcoin wallet, atherium, and many more.

Each Bitcoin wallet must have different layers of security and different ways of securing it. But on average, they provide an option where you can add 2 Factor Authentication to give an extra layer of security to your wallet. 2 Factor Authentication is usually a verification via an SMS pin that will enter the mobile phone number you registered when you created a wallet, or a Google Authenticator pin that you can install on your laptop or on your smartphone. As a result, every time you want to log in to your wallet, you should be able to enter your SMS e-mail address, password and SMS pin or GA pin to access your wallet.

That's why it's not advisable to store your coins into exchanges, it can't be refunded when it lost because it's not their liabilities after all.

Online transactions are safe in present days, but, sometimes which also needs to hack if the wallet information, including your wallet private and address, is not confidential. So, while using your wallets, be careful.
There are many cases of bitcoin theft because their wallets are not so safe, there are many thefts especially in online wallets because it is quite easy for hackers to hack them. I think it will make it safer if you add 2fa. Such as sms verify, google auth, etc. It will make it more secure

I just used the Two-Factors Authentication (2/TFA) on my online wallet but I think it is safe when it comes to that so there's nothing to worry about unless anyone also knows your number and he has it and your email in case it needs some verification. So you better keep your wallet safe and be clever on your passwords or you might change passwords every month.

Why many people are trying to hack a wallet?
Because they are the people who don't want a proper work/job they and they are the reasons why you have to secure your accounts and BTC wallet, mostly your passwords in any websites especially if you have funds there.

Yesterday my exchanges account hit hack so I lost a little capital.
Your responsibility is to secure your account/s, and there's no other one to blame but you.

What nuances and secrets you know

There are only few ways on securing your wallet the one thing comes to my mind is storing those bitcoins or coins from your hardware wallet then keep your private keys safe which no one would ever know on where those keys are stored. This is the most important thing you should kept since this key is the only thing that would able to access your wallet once lost then say good bye to your coins.

If you spend everyday and use your wallet everyday then there is no need for secrets and nuances, an Electrum wallet should do great considering your PC is safe from any kind of malware. If you want to have a wallet for a longer time I think you can use Electrum in an old laptop to create a watch only wallet and keep it as cold storage.
it is a good option to have a multi wallet in consideration on finding a holding input of you bitcoin. We all know that there is a lot of risk in holding on a web basis because the security is much vulnerable and come through out the web so having an option of finding an offline wallet or either a handy wallet such an application wallet is a great thing to do to help on securing you bitcoin in terms of holding. Because through this you can have the power to monitor and hold you bitcoin at the same time. With higher potential of developing on both the value and security of your chosen wallet.
