Can anyone help me out with a setup? the power kw/h here in kentucky is $0.943 and it seems like everything I have looked up on nice hash will not net me much if any $$$ because I have to pay damn near a 1 per kw/h. Im happy with just running 1-2 cards if I can but if I have to I will run 4-6. Im just wanting to get into this and I thought I was going to be able to put to use my old gpu msi gtx570, gtx650, gtx 680 flash for mac... any helpis welcomed please.

You have the most expensive electricity cost I have seen so far. The only card I would recommend to mine is the GTX 1050 ti and even that down clocked a little to consume only 50 watt for a card. 2 of them can make you approximately 20 Mhash on Ethereum and consume only 100 watt in an hour. Still it is not profitable based on your electricity cost but if you want to mine, and keep the money for a later time maybe it will become profitable.

What? You are mining with such el. rates? Muts be TYPO or I don't know. I gave up mining with my local rate around USD 0.2/KWh.
In addition GPUs older than GTX 1060 are incredible ineffective. I doubt you are going to profit at all (use https://whattomine.com to check your chances)

Highly advice you to stop doing this (maybe leave it for winter to heat your house but that time the profit would be even worse).

Currently im just mining ethereum with my 1060 3GB at about 19mh/s but I'm thinking about getting atleast two GPU's and putting them in my old computer and have them mining 24/7. Online I found a 1050ti, only used for 1 month, at about 140 USD. And also I found a miner selling used RX 560 4GB's of various models for 175 USD. Anyone think it would be worth? If I was thinking of getting a couple of 580 8GB in a month or two and later putting them in 6-card rig I'm also planning to purchase. Thoughts/tips?

You made that by yourself? I've seen someone who sold the miners with affordable budget yet low on electrical consumption. That gtx 1050 is okay I think.

You dont have super high electricity... you are paying 8.7 cents per kilowatt hour which is pretty damn good considering the national average for the US is around 12 cents per kilowatt hour.

You are right there with China for low power cost per this graph. https://www.ovoenergy.com/guides/energy-guides/average-electricity-prices-kwh.html

Industrial rates are lower but for a home mining setup thats about as good as it gets for the US honestly. I pay about 10 cents per kwh in Western NC and I think thats pretty OK.

Be nice bro.  we were all newbies at one time or another.

At the op if you pay 8.7 cents a k-watt  you can mine.

So lets start real simple.

What motherboard do you have?
What psu do you have?
what ram do you have?
what operating system do you have?

the easy way  is to add a card or maybe 2   to your pc.

If not  you need to build from start.  You can build A milk crate or wooden box build  of 2 or 3 cards   even 1.

here is a two card rig:

with a shit load of setup photos

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1998198.0

and a three card rig
