We need to really start bringing attention to the censorship here.

Again, for uncensored forums - go Freenet

So, are you defending the admins of the OFFICIAL forums for manipulating the debate in the favor of power players. to the detriment of the community?

Nope, just saying where to find forums that can never be censored at all. Seems like good place to discuss bitcoins.
Freenet's Frost board "bitcoin", also on FMS and Freetalk.

Get it through your head people.  This is not a free forum.  The debate is being manipulated for the benefit of large interests.

well, well.

amid all your endless FUD and bullshit, you've finally gotten something right.

no - it is not a free forum.  we are guests in somebody else's home.

they pay for it.

manners count.

I still don't see the need to delete a thread.

Selling out to advertisers shows you respect neither yourself nor the rest of us.

I believe they're trying to hold back a secret. When Mt. Gox first set up support.mtgox.com, it had a comments section, and two separate people asked MagicalTux to "confirm or deny this", with a link to a thread in this forum. When I clicked the link, I got an error saying that the thread didn't exist. Both posts led to the same URL.

Nothing is being hidden. I will provide copies of deleted threads on request. Just send me the URL.

I don't have the URL. Mt. Gox is no longer offering public access to the page that had the link now that their main URL no longer redirects there.

It sucks how when the big trading sites take a DDOS or go offline, the BTC value drops instantly.  BTC will obviously be worth a fortune in the long run but I wish we could make it through 1 week without a disaster!
