No government can block gambling sites registered abroad and not something as elusive as bitcoin gambling services.
Who cares about illegal FIAT gambling services? They are easily tracked/blocked/banned because regulated payment operators need to comply with every official regulation.
Bitcoin cannot be controlled and is resistant to any form of censorship of attempt of a ban.

They mention about gambling with bitcoin.
Though R.I.P. online fiat gambling 1996-2012.

Even if you are using illegal fiat gambling sites you are not depositing your money directly using your credit card, you might use virtual cards to deposit your money and government cannot monitor those deposits too, they could block the websites and that is the best they can do.

Foreign fiat gamblin sites are illegal also in Hungary. Recently 1 Hungarian opened which is legal, but thats all.
Slot machines in bars are also illegal. And almost all of the casino places are closed.
There is only two person in Hungary who are allowed to run casinos.
Fortunately, we can still play in bitcoin casinos Smiley

Who cares about illegal fiat gambling sites anyway.
Majority of gamblers from bitcointalk are gambling in bitcoin gambling sites.
We care because those gamblers can become part of bitcoin if they are informed that something way better exists, that is why, gambling is one of those venues where bitcoin fits perfectly, you get cheap enough transfers, the transfers are quicker than the bank transfers and you don’t need to identify yourself because bitcoin casinos don’t care about your identity.

This is nothing new. Basically this wasn't an issue before because Bitcoin looked like it almost failed back in 2015 so many government just ignored it. Now however its gaining more and more popularity and more interest so government are finally starting to regulate different aspects of it.

In 5 years most first world nations will regulate most aspects of Bitcoin including the gambling part.

This is always the case in some parts of the country, the gambling sites that are blocked. because are much gambled using the country's currency, because local currency is usually the trigger for the increasing number of gambling site blocking, but the use of anonymous account may be one option To stay in gambling.

Luckily, this is easy to bypass using just DNS other than ISP one. But we, bitcoiners, we want to use Bitcoin instead of fiat to gamble with.
This is good news for us, now polish gamblers will have to use other means to gamble online, and the best alternative is bitcoin, no doubt about that, anyone that is mildly informed about technology can devise a way to avoid those blocks, it seems governments don’t understand the day when they could control access to information are long gone but let them try.
agree with this, but in other sice, this also can be a warning for bitcoin, seems like polan will fight again gambling, and they start from fiat gambling,i just think that if bitcoin used in poland for gambling, they will block bitcoin gambling site too. even it can be bypass with other ip,but its not an advantage of course.

I've never get any worried for blocking bitcoins casino's from operating since first of all where anonymous here and who will be chase out if they can't track us out here? No right so aslong as our Identity nor the operators Identity hidden bitcoins casino's state will be alright.

It's too hard to target someone through cryptocurrencies and it'll be harder if the person is sitting in the other side of the world. No one can guess exactly in which country you are. The anonymity is boon for everyone in the bitcoin universe.
I think it'll be better for Polish gamblers to turn towards crypto gambling sites.

Governments can try to regulate bitcoin it is another thing altogether to become successful at it, just look at the war on drugs, more money, technology and effort has been dedicated to this, and governments are not even close to win the war on drugs, in fact if I were to guess who is going to win in the end, I think the will of the criminal will impose itself and illegal drugs will become legal.

Blocking fiat gambling is easy as its regulated payments can be tracked to users and it’s not very anonymous. Almost everyone prefers bitcoin gambling over fiat gambling when gambling online, because obviously bitcoin is the best way to do it.

Bitcoin gambling is not traceable so it is kind of impossible to shut it down, it is more secure and the best thing which many people prefer that there are less fees compared to any other type of gambling online. If we started listing advantages of using bitcoins, the list would not.

They aren't blocking Bitcoin sites or Bitcoin casinos, they are blocking unregistered gambling sites, most likely to protect the citizens (gamblers). Many of those unregistered sites were scams that people were losing money on, or sites that weren't secure. I wouldn't like my personal data, bank account number and such to be sold to hackers by one of such illegal sites, so I like what Polish government is doing.

Nice!
Thanks for the clarification, it was obviously necessary, we were going all out with Poland bad Cheesy
That's a good thing basically, but even if legit FIAT casinos were banned it would be esentially good for bitcoin.

Looking for a signature campaign.

If its block already then expect for those fiat gambler would really find another options which bitcoin would be the nearest one seeing that its very easy to use and you can able to hide yourself specially if its already prohibited on your country since we know bitcoin do gives anonymity to its users and cant be traced so easily that you are still playing gambling inspite of imposed restriction rules.

Majority of gamblers from bitcointalk are gambling in bitcoin gambling sites.

I agree though this will be a good news for bitcoin community since these people that used to gamble with fiat gambling will have to diversify and one option is using Bitcoin or other anon crypto currency.  This means that there will be more people getting involved in gambling using cryptocurrency.  It will bring demand and a possible increase on whatever cryptocurrency they decided to use.

In my opinion this is not new news because not all countries allow gambling sites. although this today easy for us to find online gambling sites but almost all gambling site is illegal. Honestly I do not have a think they will accept bitcoin because I'm sure they already know bitcoin gambling is growing.

All countries ban illegal gambling sites. Period!

Not sure even why this is news anywhere that would interest people. If a gambling site is not regulated by the government of the country where it operates, expect it to be closed down. All countries regulate gambling sites as this is a matter of public security and well fair.

I agree, there are quite a lot of regulation on gambling sites in most jurisdictions even the US has a strict gambling law and the US has one of the largest gambling industry in the world. Also, this regulations are for the protection of the players since it could end up that the casino might be a scam and just run away with their money.
