I did that and never heard back from them. I sent them a couple messages and they never responded. On there form it says it could take 7 days for a response and I've been waiting for over 2 weeks. Do they automatically add the token once it's on the exchange for X amount of days or weeks?
No they don't. You must filled the form if you want your token get listed on coinmarketcap according their FAQ What is the criteria for a cryptocurrency to be listed on CoinMarketCap?
The criteria for a cryptocurrency to be listed is the following:
- Must be a cryptocurrency or a crypto token. - Must be on a public exchange with an API that reports the last traded price and the last 24 hour trading volume. - Must have a non-zero trading volume on at least one supported exchange so a price can be determined. - For market cap ranking, an accurate circulating supply figure is required.
If you'd like to have a cryptocurrency listed and it meets all of the criteria, please fill out the request form.

For all the guys crying about the exchange. There are coins you sometimes invest in which just disappears or not even get listed on coinmarketcap. I know....I bought into one of these.

1- We should be able to sign in to coinmarketcap with google. 2- After signing in, we should be able to create portfolio. 3- You should create a mobile phone application. 4- We should be able to see portfolio when signing in with google from the mobile phone app. 5- They must be synchronized with each other.
That's it. If you do it, it's absolutely superb. There are similar mobile phone applications, but none of them are suitable for both computer and mobile use. For example Blockfolio. It's a great application but it does not make backups. And there is no portfolio arrangement from the computer.

Apps would be nice to have though I just look the information up on the website instead because it's faster to do. I suggest that they have more coins listed in the website rather than just 3-4 coins per day.

Anyone else spends months trying to get your token listed on Coinmarketcap? What if they never respond or list your tokens does that mean you're blackballed from the site? How come they never respond to messages on their site? Do they just pick the tokens they like the best and ignore all the other ones?
Is there an alternative to Coinmarketcap where you can actually get in touch with someone?

From a few days, few weeks and sometimes never. Just because you have a coin even if it has volume doesn't guarantee you a listing. How long does it take for new altcoins to get listed on coinmarketcap website?

Suggestion:
Allow us a way to compare volumes on CERTAIN exchanges only. Not all. I don't want HITBTC volume included anywhere, for example.

Coinmarketcap.comThanks for offering such a great service over the years. I'm writing this message to inform you guys of XIOS being within the criteria for addition to the site...but over the last few days, the community hasn't heard back any responses from you.
Getting XIOS listed on Coinmarketcap will help options open up for us. XIOS is currently trading on Yobit, Coinsmarkets, and Crypto Bridge and several others that has our volume over $10k a day. Can we please look into the numerous requests submitted regarding the addition of XIOS? www.XIOSCOIN.comhttps://github.com/ButterRose/Xioshttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2251159https://yobit.net/en/trade/XIOS/BTChttps://coinsmarkets.com/trade-BTC-XIOS.htmThanks for your time and consideration regarding this matter. Cheers, MasterTrader777

It looks like there was a change to the criteria to list exchanges. It requires 100k$ in daily volume. However some exchanges already listed have as little as 500$. This is not really quite fair to newcomers. Please consider either
a) adjusting requirement of minimum volume to a reasonable number reflecting status quo or b) adjust your list with fairness, i.e. apply your criterium to current exchanges
Thanks for your consideration.

I don't usually get bothered with this since I'm mostly on PC and kill all ads but I was on mobile earlier today and noticed this interesting ad: AFAICS it's not one of those annoying google ads since I don't get the usual "Why?" when I click the close button so I'm wondering, how much did CMC get paid to advertise a known ponzi scam as the "most promising cryptocurrency" to invest in?

Where did you hear that? There are more than a few unknown exchanges listed here with less than $500 trading volume. IDEX which I know for certain just got listed less than a week ago doesn't have anywhere near $100K trading volume.

I'm fairly certain you (and others posting in this thread about your coins) are doing it wrong. You should try and read the OP sometime, there's an application form there.
