According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Anybody can please tell the command line for CPUminer? My miner is hashing away but is never showing the 'new block found'.

Hi all,

haven't successfully solo mined before and not sure if this is working. Can anyone please let me know if it is working and i need to wait ? or if there is something I may have forgotten.

can anyone tell me if that looks like I'm actually mining?

I'm not sure what is significant to tell if you're successfully solo mining

you are not mining, u are wasting energy and hardware
people with farms are getting blocks and rest are getting orphans or nothing
i started mining 10 min after relase with 7950, at that time it was pointless due to latency/1s blocks

I still don't have any accepted or rejected blocks, what values should you keep an eye out for? A or R ? ST? SS?

That's how it looks when you're successfully mining, and now and then it says "Accepted xxxxxxxxxxxx diff xxx/xxx BLOCK! GPU x" and u get a popup message from ur wallet.

thanks kindly Sweroids that's exactly what I was wanting to know. Ok great will keep an eye out for "Accepted xxxxx" BLOCK!" and then will check my wallet.

At the moment I haven't had either of those things happen so was concerned I might be wasting time / power but will let it keep going for a while now cheers
