It is really hard. I guess first you need to cut out those that looks like scams, then cut out those that looks like they will not break a leg to get a result. Then you need to cut out those that you think will not work. And then hardest part come in play you must need not to invest in where is way to much invested. And since more you get if you invest at start this is way hardest since it base on luck. I put few satoshies few days ago in https://suncontract.org/ It still have max reward fro next 3 days and then I will really see if I made mistake and to much will get invested. But I think will do just fine.

Personally, I would propose you project which I am working for. It's called Age of Rust. http://spacepirate.io/ Here you can see about about the game and buy some Rustbits. It's 25% for first week. I bought about thousand Rustbits and i think it will succeed. Really amazing staff is working on game and they are doing their job very well.

Its really hard to identify which ICO's would really take it off and which is a scam. I guess you have to check who are behind the project and sometimes who are doing escrows. I don't what to suggest because I might gave you a wrong ICO's to invest. Just used your better judgement and make your final decision. Goodluck to you mate.

A lot of people in the hype of tezos ICO, but you can join and participate in the tezos ico because it's uncapped ico. You can try to search the upcoming ico through the icotracker site that gives you the more list about upcoming ico and the history of successful ico.

I would keep your money in ETH unless something stands out to you as not only a good product, but underhyped.

You have to be careful, too much ICO is good but not all ICO runs successfully. So far I still believe that ICO is trustworthy and worthy to follow. Please check: http://Https://www.coindash.io/

ICO are hit and miss, you need to hit the right one to make it big but thats why diversification helps, if you invest on 5 good ICO then you are unlikely to lose.
I think Santiment, Tezos and EOS look interesting at the moment but EOS is a bit weird.

Which is better? Buying on ICO or waiting until it's traded on exchange and releasing products.

Be also aware that good project that started in a ICO didn't gave good return for investor for a long time. WAVES and LISK are a good example. I took more than a year to give profit.
Just bought them at exchange.

It used to be very profitable but now you can see a lot of coins in exchanges below ICO prices. It's not profitable business anymore. You can wait for them to launch in an exchange and buy then. Most ICO's don't even launch their trading market in big exchanges. It would be gambling to buy from ICO.

As a matter of fact it is very hard to predict and tell with accuracy that which ICO is going to be successful. Also beware of the Scam ICO. So the good option is to invest in the coins which are already listed on exchange.

I think a lot of the ICOs are really hyped now. Nowadays it is better to buy the less known ICOs..

For me the best one is the one you see the most, so I would go for Starta personally.

It's not only ETH that you can buy into an ICO with, it just seems recently that a lot of devs are taking advantage of ETH and releasing tokens. The whole ICO landscape is becoming similar to the way altcoins for a period were created purely to scam. Whichever one you decide to invest in try to do a good bit of research.
