The Full Miner will have the following characteristics:
  • k16 klondike design (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190731)
  • 16 Avalon ASIC Chips
  • 4.512 Gh/s
  • About  32 Watts
  • CGminer
  • USB controller. Could be used with any PC i.e. a Raspberry Pi
  • Assembled in Barcelona, Spain. Contact based in Barcelona is nekonos.

The price for the Full Miner assembly service will include:*:
  • 4 Layers’ PCB
  • All electronic components
  • Full assembly
  • Heat Sink
  • 12 to 24 hours testing to meet the so deserved BkkCoins’s royalties.
  • Fan and Case will be available at an extra cost

Question for nekonos cc bizwoo:

Greetings, my friend from my neighbour country.

Do you already have an idea of the case (and fan) you intend to sell (at extra cost, of course) with the assembled Full Miner? any images?

As in the case of the Raspberry Pi, a transparent acrylic case would be cool... Cool

Hi,

I've sent PM to bizwoo, with cc: to JohnK and nekonos this afternoon, ordering 1 board + 16 chips.

Since I am located in Poland and I see guys in Bulgaria working really fast on their implementation:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=212031.0

I would like to switch my order to them, but within the same group buy for Avalon chips here - is it possible?

Well, looks like we'll be getting more hashes for our money Smiley

good work mrb,

this is what we wanted to see in the beginning.

hint hint: the chip has a much higher clock cap.  Wink Roll Eyes

Question for Nekonos:

Will the k16 boards be tested? If so, I propose to instead of testing them on a testnet, testing them on the real blockchain.
The bitcoins gained by the testing can then be used to lower the assembly fee on the boards.
Only, of course, if you and the majority of the buyers agree with this.

my 2 mBTC about the assembly etc:

I dont understand all these posts about having the miners test period be credited to this or that cause.
And then there are other posts almost demanding that the mining profits will be used to reimburse the buyers in some way ....

aren't we all becoming a bit greedy, where is the original spirit gone to? The one demanding the designers to be compensated I can agree with, the ones trying to nickle and dime for personal gain are a bit ugly IMHO

so I put forward to have the mined BTC during the miners test run be donated to the klondike designers/assemblers and other worthwhile bitcoin causes, preferably open-source/free-software/open hardware etc so the whole community can benefit.

this is greedy noob shit in my opinion. better say thank you to nekonos, for assembling and all that shit for a fair price, instead of demanding the first bitcents...

So you give your baker a tip every time you buy a loaf of bread? You tip the butcher when you buy some meat because he did a bang up job cutting your meat?

In my eyes Nekonos offers a service and gets paid for it, in the same way a baker makes your bread or a butcher grinds your beef.
Call this "greedy noob shit" if you will, but why should we tip him for this?

I'm not saying Nekonos must do as i please, I'm just giving my opinion about the whole matter and figuring out a way for us to get more bit for our buck.

Hi all,

I think it was clear from the news from 27 May 2013 at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200067.msg2232761#msg2232761 which states the following:

Quote
12 to 24 hours testing to meet the so deserved BkkCoins’s royalties.

I think all will agree that the miners will have to be shipped as soon as possible after the assembly. If we start to add more requirements during the testing period which will take time off from actual testing then all will become more complicated.

Nekonos WILL test each miner to make fully sure it is working before ship it to the buyers. While testing he will use BkkCoins address for some time in order to compensate him for his work.

Hope everyone is happy. Besides, it was clearly stated in the assembly service conditions.

Cheers

Perfect, I think it is very nice to compensate BKKCoins for the development of this design.
Glad to see that the hashing power in the test phase won't go to waste on a testnet. I thought I read the TOS, but I couldn't recall that part.
Anyway, completely happy now!
