Will you be ordering the K16 boards from BKKCoins or having them fabricated in Spain?

Yes, I think BKKCoins initially planned to sell kits ready for assembly and even PCBs. However, nekonos will be sourcing everything in Spain. This is also the reason why he wants to compensate bkk with some mining on his way while testing the miners.

Great. I fully agree with compensating Bkk for his work. So do you plan on testing a board with the sample chips before full production?

Hi, indeed, nekonos will use the sample chips to create proto miners for testing before full production.

@nekonos

Any update with regards to heatsink, fan, casing? It would help to know what can or will be done in order for us to DIY the rest on our side.

Cheers.

Hi all,

This week I have a lootof work. I need more hours in a day Undecided

The klondike16 are testing the prototype and have already noticed some minor power failures that need to be corrected in the PCB.

For case for many units I'm working with a atx computer case with power 750W corsair modular this can support 15 units with OC. The maximum capacity of the case is 18 units, but keep in mind the power supply.

A quick scheme of what I'm working. 5 modules of 3 units with heatsink for three units also.

Smallest box I have to see what order maybe 4-5 more plates.

I have already ordered components  for 3 prototype, there are some problems with the microcontroller stock, but I searched compatible alternative.

For only 1 unit the aluminium heatsink will be 90x90x35mm. Fan 100x100 or maybe 120x120 with some modifycation.

Hi all

For buyers that wish to send the chips to other assemblers other than nekonos, could you please put your order as follows so that I could advice the involved assemblers how many chips will be heading their way?

<forum nick>; <Total Chips N>; < Total BTC >; < Total Miner to be assembled>; <Name of Assembler to send the Chips>; <sending address>

A complete list of assemblers where you could send your chips can be found in SebastianJu's thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=192860 )

Cheers.

Thank you ct1aic and darkfriend77.

Nevertheless, my message was directed to buyers in the second batch. Almost all the chips from batch 1 are going to be assembled by nekonos (about 95% or more).

By the way, thanks a lot nekonos for keeping us updated on the status of the k16 design.

nekonos, there's a bit of discussion on overclocking in the Klondike thread. It seems that a full 16 chips board won't be able to overclock to the full chip potential in the current design. Possible solutions are currently explored.

There's an easy one: only use 14 chips instead of 16 on the board.

It may be premature but will you consider alternative designs or 14 chips boards? I assume you need identical boards for everyone so everyone must use a modified design or nobody (in this case people willing to overclock may ask for only 14 chips on each board).

Can you elaborate on what you think will be possible on your end?

Hi

I will wait some days...

Seems BKKCoins will increase the current capacity in 1.2V with some modify.

With an other 1.2V dc regulator the board can manage the OC and will be more stable and efficient. Probably the change will cost 3-7€ .

Waiting for more news.

I truly hope it's going to be this simple. In regards of my ordered boards, I'm in Wink
