^^^ Thailand and the Philippines are going to be prime targets for the ISIS in South-east Asia. The reasons are the following:

1. More than 95% of the population is non-Muslim
2. A large section of the Muslim population in these countries are sympathetic to the ISIS
3. Both these nations have porous borders, through which foreign fighters can infiltrate.

Couldn't help but agree with all you said. It sometimes take outsiders to see what's happening. When a certain threshold has been reached, Muslims do become a nuisance as both countries has shown. As for the sympathizers, it really is frustrating to see them spewing their hate and propaganda online, like in FB, and not have those posts taken down despite reporting them multiple times.

With the borders, I think Thailand is luckier. Sure they need to build a fence but the border with Malaysia is one of the narrowest part of the country anyway. With the Philippines, there are so many landing spots for boats that it's difficult to keep track of all of them. Not to mention the coast guard is not in good shape since the country, despite being archipelagic, is heavily focused on infantry due to several decades of Maoist rebellion.

Yes they are ISIS inspired terrorists. However, I do not believe that they can carry on bigger attacks, bigger than what is happening today. Probably more bombings in the Philippines since they can't afford to lose more barbarians. We don't know what they are after, but for sure, they already made their name now.

To their credit, Muslims in the Philippines can claim that Islam reached earlier than Christianity in that country. The first Arab traders arrived in Mindanao around 200 years before the Spanish invasion. However, by the time the Arabs were forcibly converting the Hindus of Indonesia and Malaysia, Philippines was a majority Christian nation. Else, they would have also converted the Filipinos.

This is my two cents regarding the war in Marawi Philippines between the Maute group and Philippine Armed forces. The ongoing war in Marawi is a testing ground for the terrorist, they have to know how will the Gov't react to the situations, the Muslim living in Mindanao how they will embrace their fellow Muslim in a caliphate rule. I don't think it is made by ISIS, they only used the ISIS, I think it is a conspiracy theory.

They are terrorist of the country and make all the wavering of the flag of the ISIS for them to be recognized and acknowledged by the latter.  Just so sad that their greediness killed many innocent lives.  Salute to the brave soldiers that were ready to give their lives for this country to attain peace.  In what you said that the US supplies them with gun and ammunitions, it is sad thing that the US is really behind the terrorism.

Many people sacrificed their life to fight for their country Philippines. Many civilians are put in danger because of this maute group that is related to Isis. They go to marawi to get that place so they can build their forces there. But because of the brave soldiers, it will not happen. The war is already put in an end.

I have to disagree on that, it is beyond religion now. Whether Christianity or being a Muslim, it has nothing to do with ISIS for which Christians and Muslims before the Maute attack happened, are living harmoniously, yeah there are a little fire at some point because of religion conflicts but they sure get together well. That's why Marawi City became a good city. Now the incident had tarnished the relationship between Christians and Muslims in Marawi,  and even those Muslims are victim of the bad Muslim's doings. The purpose of ISIS is somewhat related to their religion but they don't demand to Christians to convert to Islamic, but they are asking whether you are a Muslim or not, if not then you will die instantly by their guns.
