I think the only good thing gambling has to offer is entertainment and nothing more. Because gambling has no assurance wether you gonna win or lose. If you lose you will bad and that is not goood. Meanwhile if you win you will feel better thus with no assurance there will be no good.

Yeah you will feel good only when you will win and the chances of winning are very rare in gambling as majority of times results will not be in our favor and its only house and casino owners who will make money from it so gamble only with that amount that you can afford to loose.

No matter what we do there are really instances that we have a bad day in gambling, we can felt good when we win ,so as much as possible make it a worthy one, I mean when we win treat yourself a little since it will not happen everyday.

I guess it ia not only to treat ourselves in the money we won many things in real life  that gambling teach us if we only appreciate it. Since gambling is a high risk and addictable games we must learn and adjust ourselves for good decision that one of a good effect of gambling

i believe that from gambling we can learn something too that will good for our life but its not about become addicting in gambling. i think it is like to be focus in only one thing, trying continuously without stop until we reach our goals. we should avoid and stay away the other thing that will make us to become addicting in gambling

What goals we can achieve through gambling to be honest gambling is not the way to make better our life. It always brings a lot of problem and create so many difficulties that is why we must avoid it for keep playing for long term. Because we get addiction and nothing else.

Affordable lose is normal thing for every gambler, but more than affordable lose is basically harmful for every gamblers, and that is bad and negative way of gambling. But i always accept gambling has positive effect and that is only we get fun and entertainment from it and also winning money, when we win in it. Otherwise, i agree with you, as you said house and casino's owners always in a profit that gambling always give them happiness and profitable thing.

correct gambling means instant money, so many people attract this gambling very quickly. But they don't know it will kill them instantly. The truth in gambling everyone knows that means we can not make money in gambling. But still, people play and spoil their life we can't help those people. Well the only thing that gambling can affect us in a good way in life is winning. Since there is really nothing more here but getting money. Either that or go with intangible things like learning the value of money, not to waste money, do not gamble money you cannot afford to lose, yada yada yada. There was a time almost a decade ago where I gambled in an online game during my earlier levels. Ended up profiting massively from it and got called out as an "RMT" (Real-Money Trader, which was heavily frowned upon) for quite a while after that due to my high-end gear that I bought from the proceeds.
Eventually moved servers, but in either case, that sped up my journey to endgame, where I ended up earning around $20000 USD by just selling off stuff I couldn't use once I became overgeared and just kept playing for absurd challenges. At some point I had almost $100k USD worth of in-game items and didn't sell because I didn't want to deal with taxes and just enjoy the damn game (was a kid at that time still).
I actually learned a lot from playing that game, made university and life in general a stroll through the park. So yeah, it could be said that gambling had some positive effect on my life.

Either one form fun / relaxation / million dollars must be giving positive influential to gamblers hence we cannot it is not capable to affect. It must be. Gambling has affected my life hugely in a good way - indirectly.

On April 11, 2011, the US Dept of Justice shut down PokerStars and FullTilt poker sites for US players. Because of that I was forced to find an online poker site that allowed US players and had fast withdrawal times. I eventually found SealsWithClubs poker which accepted something called "bitcoin" that I had never heard of. I bought a bunch of this so-called bitcoin and joined the site.

So it was because of gambling/online poker that I was able to discover bitcoin. I'm sure I would have learned about bitcoin eventually through some other way (and who knows if I had believed all the FUD out there at the time, I might have stayed away from bitcoin), but because I was/am such a degenerate gambler and needed to play online poker, I was able to buy a good amount of bitcoins at relatively early times when it was much much more cheaper than at recent times.

Somehow, I could say that gambling do affected my decision making in a good way. I've learned from my past experiences, how to value money and learn to control yourself. My point of view towards money is that it's just a piece of paper, upon my unforgettable experience way back in college. Where I lost my supposed tuition fee that year, I was so devastated and somehow reality kicks in. From the on, If I were to gamble. I plan and organize my expenses first before I do gambling. I learned when to stop and especially if I feel that, this isn't my lucky day. I've became mature and I learn to accept losing.

Gambling has been a part of me for at least a year now, but recently I don't gamble anymore, thinking that I cannot probably make any more money because you know that gambling has a significant risk involved and I can't afford that. lol you could realize about that fact since first day you come decide to gamble. but yeah sometimes you need experiencing it by yourself directly to know how it feels , just take it as a precious lesson , and don't do it again in the future , just change your mindset and get your strong principle on handling every problem you might would face later when you decide to keep playing but with other purpose.

Of course nothing really good will come out of gambling if you try to think it is a way of profiting.
Gambling is not for profit but more of just for fun for the gamblers.
You really have to enjoy gambling to be something good. Though it is hard to really understand that.
Most people play for profit, and that is usually the problem.

Well I say gambling taught me not be greedy, gambling taught that being addict in something is bad, and most of all gambling made me realize how important money is. So I think my answer would be a big YES. When I lose money in gambling I look on the positive side, I just think it is blessing in disguise. Why? Because I already know reality in gambling and because of that I will not make the same mistake again. Everything happens for a purpose. Do not take examples from negative incidents. There are people who are enjoying gambling the level no one find their life interesting. Your friend might have gambled for money and that is the reason he has suffered a lot. Go and check this forum there are lot of people finding positive edge of gambling.

Gambling is a dangerous one I agree still it might teach some useful lessons but in harder way. Making use of them is up to the gamblers.
