None were sure about the reality. Lots of hypes as well panic is going around the entire network. I have never concerned about it, let it happen and simultaneously things will come to effect. I just focus on holding my asst in the form of bitcoin for a better profiting as growth continues even if something bad happens on segwit.
Indeed my friend, it's not the time getting afraid about the SEGWIT and loose assets because of it. Even BIP148 and SEGwit getting into effect will split the bitcoin but they won't effect to price I guess. So I don't think we have to worry about this situation. I'm completely free to face this. yes that is very right we do not need to afraid from SEGWIT. that is noting is going against bitcoin price. i am sure that bitcoin price will boost again after 1st August and currently the bitcoin investors are not letting bitcoin down they are holding bitcoin and therefore the price of bitcoin is too much stable. I think we will still experience downfall after segwit activation but it doesn't mean the price of bitcoin will never increase back again or increase its value more.. So i think the price of bitcoin can be increase more after the price fall just the event last year. . |

I don't think much of a shift will happen, maybe a small drop but I think it will just continually increase as it has in the past year, as far as I can tell segwit only looks good for long term outlook of bitcoin so I can't see it being negative.

There is no exact what will happen after segwit but the only thing that i think bitcoin can be more active than before and the price will be still depends in demand and supply segwit is just a feature added that 80% miners agree about segwit.. that i think it can help a lot.. so i think better to wait for the result and the best that you can do right now is to monitor the price of bitcoin because anytme after segwit activaton bitcoin can be fall or better to buy more bitcoin and i think you can make more profit once the price will increase more value..

I'm hoping for a decent dip after August 1. to get some cheap coins. So I've put buying btc on hold for now and just watch the charts, might consider doing some more buy ins before if price drops to ~2100$ - 2300$ range, But I'll definitely keep some liquidity in case of a dramatic price drop after August 1.

What will happen after SEGWIT?
Nothing is certain after Segwit activation. It can affect crypto currency neither positively nor negatively. However in my opinion, price of bitcoin/altcoins would more likely to increase as segwit has been implimented. |

Dash has been hyped up so much, that if you look at the actual usage that it experiences, it's quite a disappointment. It doesn't justify any ATM's to be set up. Also, if you don't give a damn about the insane level of instamine, you're 100% delusional. It shows how idiotic people are when it comes to altcoins ~ greed has a far higher priority than anything else. |

Nothing as a major change is going to occur after segwit. Price of bitcoin will keep going high and it will keep rising to its success. Segwit is more like an improvement not a threat. To keep up with the market and online bitcoin businesses improvements are important to make. Some people are making false speculation to make beginners afraid of segwit and all other improvements like this. Yes, you have to take precautions to keep your bitcoins safe but those are not very hard to take and are easy to understand. So the final answer can simply be that things will keep on going as they are right now. |

Segwit also increasing the blocksize of the bitcoin to the 2MB as far as I know that makes the block can process the more transaction. Or the block can validate the more transaction in every second. thanks for the link ill check it out but i really hope after the segwit it will go for the better |

In the end I think that's what can happen,all the reflectors will be pointing to that day,which will undoubtedly set a precedent and will clear many doubts about scalability of BTC,that a positive result will reinforce confidence, especially in those who in some way or another have been doubting before,and above all referring to the limitations that to a great extent are due to the disagreement of the community rather than technical challenges. |

Definitely go down, maybe not right after the segment. Why do I think so? Open the weekly chart and realize that for very large growth we need a very large drop.

LOL. How will Dash take the throne? Ethereum has attempted very aggressively to topple bitcoin as the no. 1 cryptocurrency and the so called "flippening" didn't happen. And how do you think that Dash will do then? As I have said, We don't know what's gonna happen in Aug 1 and the days to come after that. But rest assured that bitcoin will improve a lot and we might see a big boost in price after the dust has settled. I really don't understand why people are starting to dump bitcoins now. Perhaps the uncertainty of the date really worries a lot. The only option is to secure your coins and hold and once everything is ok we are gonna see the price going to the moon at the end of the year. |

There will be hardfork issues but those issues has been there from the beginning.

No one really knows what will happen. There's a lot of fear, panic and speculation. The safest thing to do is to take your bitcoins offline while awaiting to see what will happen. But does that mean that I should trade in all my alt coins for BTC and withdraw everything to my offline wallet now? I'm not sure to be honest,
Thats the well defined summary of this question. Everyone is spreading Rumors, fear, panic and now one knows what exactly going to happen. A friend of mine told me bitcoin will be down to $1000 on August 1 and i asked him what is the difference between hard and soft fork and he did now know.  People are just speculating without even having the basic knowledge. |

There will be definitely a drop but after the Segwit it will get back and shoot to the moon. More than 80% is in support of Segwit so I guess the community is behind the decision and it will be successful. Hopefully, it will solve the problems which we are facing right now and that will bring more people into crypto world. |

One is certain, SegWit won't fail and destroy bitcoin, just take a look at Litecoin example - LTC was practically buried alive and stagnant for long period of time.
SegWit activation raised it from the limbo and from forever stable price of ~$4 Litecoin surged to ~$50 in 2 months.
So know just imagine what SegWit can do for bitcoin, if everything will go according to the plan we should have stable $4000 after the upgrade.

Well, that's not entirely true since you're referring to SegWit2X. That proposal has the support of the major part of the miners, but not so much in terms of the community and services within the Bitcoin eco system. The community and the core developers stand firm behind the original proposal (BIP141), but due to the fact that miners are blocking activation, things need to be done in a different way, which is often referred to as the UASF. Again, this is something miners aren't willing to support, but in this case there is not much that they can do to block it. |
