Segwit is positive and NEEDED. So long term no problems only positives. Short term There could be a dump as there is lots of speculation about it and people might go to other assets during the process. If that happens a week hand dump might follow. Lots of "new" money in BTC this year that could panic.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

July 21 is the starting date that those miners who agreed on segwit will activate right? If segwit starts then bitcoin will pump and hopefully most altcoins won't get affected much. If segwit fails to activate then split is possible? Just like what happened early this year during the BU crisis altcoins went sky rocketing.

As the Bitcoin userbase expands, validating the entire blockchain naturally becomes more expensive.

Of course it does. But then two things can happen if BTC continues to thrive. either BTC solves this scalability problem and its possible for a mass adoption and usage as a real currency for comercial transactions or it doesnt and it come become more of a store of value asset where less transactions will be needed.

What will happen after SEGWIT?
Most of us awaited eagerly for segwit to be activated from long time.I hope that after segwit, due to increase in block size, transaction fee would once again become very low and transactions would be confirmed very quickly. So more people would start using bitcoins and as a result of it,bitcoin price would increase.

I think the recent price dip reflects uncertainty - maybe FUD based, I certainly can't tell who is talking cr*p - about whether we will have an ugly fork or not in the near future.

Personally hoping everything goes smoothly and SEGWIT goes through.

I definitely no idea what happen after segwit, but I believe that bitcoin were gonna be strong to hold their position in the market. However I was scared to the fluctuation of this price, but I believe that there's company who accept bitcoin and change segwit position.

What will happen after SEGWIT?
No one really knows what will happen. There's a lot of fear, panic and speculation. The safest thing to do is to take your bitcoins offline while awaiting to see what will happen. But does that mean that I should trade in all my alt coins for BTC and withdraw everything to my offline wallet now? I'm not sure to be honest,
Yes no one can predict what will happen after the segwit (august 1). All bitcoin user havr own opinion and moves to secure their bitcoin. They transfer to their offline wallet  to make sure that bitcoin can't get a problem to other currency or in different transactions. Other are selling their bitcoin to make sure also that they have income in their hard working. But when I observe the history of bitcoin there's no reason to fall the bitcoin, this time it slowly become popular and maybe it the reason why bitcoin have a news like this.

With this concept it is very easy to understand that what is going to happen after Segwit.
Many of the users are freaked of the segwit thinking of something bad is gonna happen to the bitcoin. Maybe many of the people don’t understand what the segwit is meant to.

I hope many people will get attracted toward the bitcoin after it and this will strengthen the bitcoin more even.

What will happen after SEGWIT?
The purpose of the activation segwit is to makes bitcoin's scaling problem to be fixed
and makes bitcoins transaction without fees sending,
but actually there are no guarantee for it, because there are some people who make prediction
that this way will be fail, the impact on bitcoins before segwit be activated now is bitcoin's price is down trend.

That's right, but we still don't know what's gonna happen aftet segwit. We know we have two or three options but this uncertainty creates worries among the investors.

I really expect harsh price fluctuations in the rest of the time until segwit.

The more pertinent question is - what will happen when it's 2mb fork time?

That's the only reason many of the Chinese miners agreed to run Segwit.

A hard fork is a much, much bigger deal. I dunno how it's going to go down. It's rather irritating that the drama has only been postponed.

it is a real a high uncertainty,
I am glad that many people told that split is not possible after BIP,... it is good.
If split is happened then I am not surprised if BTC doomed.

In fact, Japan had accept Bitcoin as payment system in their country and not need pay fee tax, but the people in their country still not like using Bitcoin for shopping outside. Because Bitcoin need more time to confirm a transaction and fees send not cheap. So, after have the news Japan accept Bitcoin but the price of Bitcoin still down, but when have good news about SegWit2x and BIP91, Bitcoin had recovery very fast and breakdown in past week

That’s cute though, the concept of baby bitcoins and by the way, that’s true. All those who remained loyal to bitcoins when they were experiencing downfall are going to have grand profit in the shape of baby bitcoins. I would like to suggest all not to give up on bitcoins under any harsh circumstances.
