Yes, but the more concerning issue is that my wallet seems legit but it will not connect  to other nodes

I have already applied the the conf file fix and don't seem to be working

Sorry if this is a dumb question but how long did you wait for your wallet to syc? Mine takes up to 5 minutes to connect and start counting blocks. I updated the conf file and thought I had issues too, but after a while it connected and no dramas since.

I appreciate the airdrop but I downloaded the Deep Onion Wallet, and it did not sync. Someone said something about a .config file. I downloaded that, I see nodes, but I have no clear understanding of what to do and not seeing any instructions. I'll give it reasonable time and look for instructions, but if I don't see it, I'm afraid I won't be able to participate. I have no clue why others can figure it out, but I can't. I just found out about the .config file.
Can't win them all I guess. I've tested a lot of wallets. I don't have much luck with one's with nodes or guessing games on instructions. Perhaps there could be a video put together of what one is supposed to do? If I bail out, thanks for the airdrop, but hopefully I can get in.

Exactly right. Sometimes you'll have browse thru 3-5 pages the next day. The community had been very active after the 1st airdrop. Great marketing strategy from the devs to make a noise for this coin.

You can see the answer to that question on the first page of this thread. I believe the next round will also have 150k coins distributed so the answer is now. The amount will increase a little later in the airdrops. The max amount being around half a million!

By that time a lot more of us will have joined the airdrop!

But no need to rush the exchange phase. Don't know how the fact that 98% of the coins are dev held affects the exchange adoption.

Yes would be very nice to read it in the OP that deeponion will not be added to any exchange until the airdrop is finished.
Dont know what the devs think about this idea, I believe it would payout most for the dev team to wait but maybe they think not the same?

I agree with you. It isn't the exchange to give value to the coin, not in this moment. Those who are willing to go right now want just a little 'pizza time'. We look for something greatest!
