Also, no single fiat bank in the world holds enough funds to cover all withdrawals, should all customers at the same time decide to withdraw. Crypto is a bit different, but to be honest, I wouldn't want to be the last person holding coins with a dying exchange...

We're lucky they didn't just decide to pack up and run off with any deposits. Still, if I had anything in there, I'd get it out as soon as possible.

I see this as just a bump in the road for DeepOnion - I imagine the price will shoot up nicely once a new exchange is announced.

I know every time the price drops its kind of cliche to say this is the time to buy.. I was blacklisted  from the airdrop for not posting enough that's fine rules are rules and I did not follow them no hard feelings.. I will not be getting any free ones from the airdrop but I honestly believe this is the time to buy  stock up and hold for the next Exchange..  I believe this will be a successful project..

Make sense, Withdrawing onions from nova is the best thing to do now and save it while staking it via desktop wallet.
The announcement of nova will sure shaken its loyal customers and everyone will be in exit mode in the upcoming days and will leave nova dry until its close this coming march 2018

where is the problem? volume on novaexchange was about 40k USD in 24h not so much to determine price correctly and not so much to make a panic crash..

i agree it is a bad thing since you could see the situation as "negative marketing" to a certain extant, but on the positive note this will make pressure to devs to find (or announce) a new exchange sooner

From initial read of the main website and the first page of the bitcointalk, it's got the privacy I've been looking for in a crypto that doesn't seem to be hunting for pure profit i.e. ICO route. yes you only need 100 onions to qualify for airdrop. you can buy onions on novaexchange while it's still cheap. the new rules will apply on the 17th airdrop.

Does forum rank not matter anymore for the new rules? And will everyone get "current amount in wallet" as the airdrop or is that the amount of "shares" of the airdrop round instead?

Please note you all are carrying old signature.  You must change your signature with new codes given at  https://deeponion.org/view_signatures.php.  Also if you may not be knowing, as per New Rules, the weekly airdrop eligibility criteria is minimum 5 Bitcointalk forum posts and 3 official forum posts.

Yesterday, there were around 15 members who have older signature still in their profiles.  Though some changed their signatures to latest, there are still some who have not changed their signatures to newer yet.  Also, there may be others whom I might have missed.  So, if you see this post, please check if you have your correct signature put in.  I have removed some members's quotes above for whom when I rechecked today I found their correct signature in now.  I tried to contact some of the above members via official forum, but I was not unable to find a few of them in the official forum, most probably because they have entirely different Usernames there.  Or it can be they have not signed in official forum yet.  Again, I must tell you all above in the quotes above if you have not worn your latest signature, you most probably will miss airdrop.  Also do not forget to posts minimum 5 bitcointalk forum posts and 3 official forum posts to get eligible for weekly airdrop.

It's weird how the coin is still holding it value while the exchange announced that they will be closing soon, a crash might happen as soon as people realize this.

its closing but not soon, on their site they gave a plan and the exchange is closing on 2018-03-31.  So still plenty of time to get out and they will even raise the withdraw so everyone can get out before that date...
