You stake when you unlock the wallet in app, the circle in bottom right will turn green and if you dont want to you dont have to.

For qualification you can check on official forum, there is a "status check" where it says if you are qualified for airdrop.

Staking does not interfere with being part of the airdrop so it doesn't matter if you stake you coins or not. If you check the name of the thread you will see we are at 22/40 Airdrop ... so 18 more  airdrops left.

No, you don't HAVE to stake, but it is free money.

If you have checked all the rules and implemented all the requirements, then you should qualify for the airdrop.

Well you need 100 Onions in order to participate in the Friday airdrop. In this airdrop you will get a percentage of Onions you are holding so
the more you hold the more Onions you will get. In the past there was different distribution system but because people made multiple accounts
and were receiving large amount of Onions the system has been changed so now you need that minimum of 100 Onions, the airdropped amount is something about 5.5%
of your Onions holdings.

But there is another airdrop which rewards people for their activity on the DeepOnion forums.
Current activity you can get Onions from is completing the Domination tasks.
For these tasks you get DeepPoints and these are changed every Sunday for Onions.

So you can get nice amount by completing these tasks and once you have 100 Onions you can participate in the Friday one.

You will get some free coins by doing the staking this is nothing to do with Airdrop. I would suggest you to go through the below link to find out DeepOnion Rules to be part of Airdrop. It's not too complicated, but it's worth reading.

Here are some basic tips:

1. You need to have minimum 100 DeepOnions in your wallet
2. Need to be Jr. Member in BCT
3. You need to meet the requirement for number of posts around 5 per week in BCT
4. Need to apply for the Airdrop in the DeepOnion community website (https://deeponion.org/community/apply.php)
5. There is an option to check the status of your airdrop whether accepted or not (https://deeponion.org/community/check_status.php)

Your signature is wrong, at least if you want to participate in the airdrop.

Your BCT user ID should be there instead of the ref=XXXX part. Fix it fast!

As I look, sometimes different people come in and express discontent with the project. Here, no one forces you to participate in the airdrop. If you do not like the terms, just walk past. The deeponion team is working hard on the project. I will say, it's not so easy to work and give yourself completely to the project. Sorry if that's not right, but I needed to speak.

That is just a way they express their emotions. Most of them don't even know what onion can be used for in future, so they blame on all of us.

as ive remembered 2 days ago, people were selling their onion for 14k sats fearing out that onions are going to drop value, then suddenly a whale bought all onions from 14k - 18k sats. that's what i call one lucky whale.

Correct, the airdrop rule is like that. Everyone are follow it to get the rewards. If you cannot own 100 ONION in your wallet, you cannot join the airdrop. That is simple

There is nothing wrong in expressing such a view freelotus. Each of us have encountered periods in which our work or our personal lives have made it more (or less) difficult to maximize our participation in the DO Project.

It is not expected that all of us 'give ourselves completely to the Project'. If you are passing through a difficult period, for whatever reason, cut back your participation to the minimum required until you are less encumbered.

As an example, I have had a particularly difficult 2 weeks which is easily seen by examining my DO activity over that time. It's no use me getting frustrated about it however - life is what it is and its demands cannot be predicted with any certainty.
