I suggest use myetherwallet for ETH based coins. It offers secure transactions and it keeps your tokens safe. Just remeber- myetherwallet can only hold your ERC20 compliant tokens. You need to always remember that you are responsible of your security.

Currently we have myetherwallet which is best for Ether based coins and if you have no option in this then surely use official wallet because this could be safe for you because if you are going to use other wallets these can give you shock because no one have any warranttee for them

Own altcoin desktop wallet or paper-wallet, paper-wallets are most protected, no one will know the key until they receive your paper! No databases, no data intercepts, only paper, lol.

Maybe somebody advised it yet but I think it’s important to repeat. The best wallet for number of currencies is Coinomi. It have wide options, very understandable interface relied on user intuition.

The best wallet for altcoins holding and for transaction needs is the myetherwallet. Here too we have got complications, because phising websites with very small changes has been roaming all around, but with the legit website what we get is the assurance for the money.

If you want to hold ERC20 tokens, myetherwallet is the best wallet for you. It was a well known wallet for keeping altcoins. You can also easily trade your tokens through etherdelta which is like connected to myetherwallet. Myetherwallet is also a little bit updated to the new tokens and you can also enter the new coin just enter the contract address and other requirements. You can easily create a wallet for your altcoins but don't forget to keep your private key in a safe place. Also, be aware to the phishing sites so your tokens will not be lost. I think myetherwallet is the wallet you are looking for.

For desktop wallet Exodus and Jaxx are the best. Online wallet you can use myetherwallet, which is the best. You can also use blockchain.info for Ethereum and Coinbase for Litecoin.
I havent tried Jaxx but it was being referred to me right now by a friend. Could you please enlighten me with some of your insights from that wallet? I only use myetherwallet for now but that is just for tokens that are under Ethereum so it will be better if there will be more than that or way above them. I would't advise jaxx, their code is not open source, we can not compile it from source which raises concearn to me to use and trust them. They don't encrypt your mnemonic: https://bit.news/eng/jaxx-found-bug-wallet/ article a bit old but I haven't found that and if they fixed this issue, if you know that they did please refer that to me. But as I was saying they are not fully open source who knows what they could compile within their wallet. I don't trust them. It can be quite bothersome that many coins need their own desktop wallet. But apart from that, obviously myetherwallet for tokens or coinomi on android has quite a few coins supported.

MyEtherWallet is the best. But there are other very good altcoin wallets, you can trust Exodus and Jaxx. Coinbase is also good for Litecoin and Blockchain.info for Ethereum.

For each coin, it is better to use the official purse, which is downloaded on the official coin website, for ERC20 tokens, I use myetherwallet.

I think coinbase wallet is best for altcoins
I usually use blockchain in this regard because it is trustable and the way of business is easy with them. The method is transparent and there is no scams are seen till date in blockchain technology. I suggest blockchain to my friends to open wallet in blockchain so you will be mentally relaxed. The rest is the choice of very individual. Coinbase is also good but I think most people use blockchain for their wallets.
