Best wallet for altcoin is myetherwallet because it is already trusted in the community also it can hold many kinds of token, MEW is a free online wallet so security is a must. For the best hardware wallet i'd go for ledger since im using it for too long and i dont encounter any problem or loss during usng it.

Depending on the specific coin on which platform it is used. If Etherium were based then myetherwallet would be a better choice since you can store most of these coins on this wallet and I like its security, there are many ways to access the wallet. Simply choose a wallet that belongs to this allcoin. Just remember to keep safe the most important information about some wallet for wallet / desktop.

First there was myetherwallet, and then I bought Ledger. Much more reliable than the previous wallet. I advise everyone.

For those who do not qualify to buy hardware wallet, myetherwallet or metamask is still the best and safest choice. Although, MEW has had battles from previous hackers. But it is still the preferred wallet for most altcoin instead of having to use separate wallets for each type.

Unfortunately this wallet is only for tokens of Ethereum and it does not support other coins. For each coin, your wallet.
