Yeah you have to get a share in the p2pool before you get paid.
The accepted's you see in the miner are really just to measure your speed.
One lucky one will be a real share.
Also it will likely continue to pay out after you stop mining as long a you still have a share in the chain.

Well i could suggest the following : each 12 hours, you take a look at the wallet adresses that have been on the payout list . Out of those addresses, you pick one random address, and that person wins a small jackpot (let's say 30% of the 3% fees) that leaves you with 70% of fees to pay the server & do whatever you like |
