how long does it usually take till payments start coming in ? been mining for ~half an hour with 500kh and got one payment of 0.018x so far

They take a few hours to build up to full size. After that you will get a payment whenever the pool finds a block. When you stop mining the payments will slowly shrink to nothing. For more info look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=39832 |

yea, that's me.  I don't know why I'm getting that much stales. my setup works fine on other pools. I'm gonna mine Ltc for a while. Don't worry, I'll be back for the steak!  |

Have you tried --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0
at least in cgminer.

maybe try lowering the intensity
17 is v high some cards i've worked with played nicer with less
at the end of the day scrypt mining can be a bit of a black art
