Reason behind this dip?

Reason for current correction? I've been away for a few days and was barely able to read up on the market when suddenly I see pretty much all coins in red? Why is that? I've already bought some extra coins here and there but I simply don't know why it dropped the way it did.

Yes it is somehow tied up to bitcoin but not all the times since we can also see bitcoin in red while alts are on reds to which usually mean that we are on bearish market which i can say its really a normal thing to happen and indicates also that we do have a healthy market among those coins because there are activities do happen on them.

Bear market for the next 3 weeks i would say. Red could be something you'll be seing every day... If it continues to fall, even hodlers will start selling.

probably korean biggest bitcoin market bithumb got hacked last few days what else ? steam summer sale ? government intention ? lol but yeah strongest reason is bithumb got hacked and they lost like millions coin but their market still open , dunno other reliable reason why its going dump

Yeah, you can't pump forever without a correction. Its not a reason to be bearish but rather to give the markets time to adjust.

Indeed. I do not see this as the final downtrend that will end the pump, but rather like a small correction, needed, to let time to people and market to adjust, and let those who want to leave leaving, and letting those who want to enter entering at a good price.

Everything else don't matter. The dip is a matter of some time.. after the dip is the moonlight. So come august let's see because that's where all altcoins testing of time will matter. Will it be the end of them or go on.

Nothing particular (except may be some segwit fear + bancor ico ETH  dump) , good opportunity to buy at low prices , once dump over = it will stabilize (the end is near = too much dumping this week = coins are HIGHLY oversold)) and we ll see VERY high prices , no need to panic = HOLD

My advice = profit from this dump and buy your coins at cheap prices (remember when vitalik sold 200,000 eth , remember when mtgox got hacked...etc..) = we bought at very cheap prices and then BOOOM few weeks later = Huge rally = That's how millions are done = when there is some big moves

Because the crypto market is changing, it is completely different from before, everything depends on the value of bitcoin. Bitcoin increase, altcoins increase, bitcoin decrease and altcoins decrease. They are changing in parallel.

Because the crypto market is changing, it is completely different from before, everything depends on the value of bitcoin. Bitcoin increase, altcoins increase, bitcoin decrease and altcoins decrease. They are changing in parallel.

Problem in ypur statement is that Bitcoin is not decreasing . For me the reason is that for every rise there is a drop to compensate.
