Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

While the whole cryptocurrency is about being anonymous it might work well.
I wonder what others think. Maybe it would be good if we could see some more details about the idea

@klarki

It depends on the country, in some country you do not need to show your ID. Moreover when you sleep in your friends apartment your id?

Isn't the issue decentralisation, not anonymity. For example, removing the need for a third-party aggregators like air bnb.

faith in authority is the enemy of the truth.

Decentralization is also important in our project. But anonymity and privacy are the most important.

As you can see here: https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/1237/how-does-providing-identification-on-airbnb-work?locale=en airbnb need ID verification in most cases.

I don't think that it is possible in most countries because of the laws.
I like anonymity but like someone said before how do you prevent criminals to bring weapons, drugs or maybe the terrorists to be able to stay there?

Firstly, I think that the idea of no-ID hotel is risky and has legal issues. How exactly do you plan to deal with it? Secondly, why do you want to create a specific currency to implement you idea into reality? I think a good idea would be to open a normal usual hotel in which people are required to provide some ID but may pay for the stay in some specific cryptocurrency. I think for such a business litecoin and dogecoin would be good ones to use.

Team anonhotels.com

Too many the countries will against your idea. I mean you must need the permission by the government to build the hotel that makes your idea doesn't make sense. But please never try to connecting the decentralized and anonymous idea with a non-sense thing like that. Do you think all of the project based on the decentralized or anonymous will have made those interested with it? i can say no.

Try to think a better innovation rather than provide the anonymous hotels.

I think this idea wont be work, because of in some countries it is just illegal and in those that stayed the demand may be not so big. I know such kind of hotels already exist and they may just start to accept bitcoins as a kind of anonyms payment and because of this hotels are known already people will prefer to go in there, but not in yours.

For me it is quite interesting but how would you make it happen? It is also illegal in some countries like you said but what idea in mind do you have to change it? Also I might not contribute in such idea because I might not be of some use to it and all I can do is to show support for it when an ICO about that has been launced. I would also like to know how would you keep each customers identity hidden when they would stay at a hotel?

i dont think it will Work.Because its mandatory to submit identity card proof while checking in hotel . May it work for illegal places not legal hotels so please make sure the country where you want to implement . There should not be any legal issue like persons identity for checkin hotel.

On paper, not a bad idea. In practicality? It'd need a LOT to get off the ground running. Illegal in the major countries due to reasons pointed up above. I think the biggest plus though is that unlike credit cards it does give more safety that people won't screw you for the money, no chargebacks. But then again, stability. Hotels and restaurants want something that'll be stable, not backflip and cause them to lose half their capital overnight.

I think it's a great concept but I also think it has many uphill journeys ahead to success. First, the supply chain of hotel rooms and demand side of hotel staying guest is a wild one. Hotels can't move. Guest move to freely ha at least in terms of a manageable market. Just the first thing that came to mind. I think it'd be great if I could rent a hotel room anonymously with a crypto but could bitcoin do that if the hotel accepted bitcoin. Hope this helps! Cheesr!

I don't think this would work. Not even from a legal sense but think of it this way, would you want some random anonymous person you don't know staying in your house with you? No idea on their background, name, anything.

Businesses care about that too, they want to have some way to track down a person if they vandalize or otherwise destroy the hotel. With a complete anonymous system there is no way to prevent people from renting a hotel room and completely trashing the place then leaving since the hotel has no way to pursue them for compensation. I can't see any business agreeing to this or, if they do, staying in business for very long after people abuse it.

Why there's always those guys that immediately criticize whenever someone comes up with a new idea ? Specially blockchain related... I mean, you gotta be dumb, right ?

Anyway, the best answer I can give you is that you might have something here.

Nothing incredible, nothing that will keep me awake tonight for sure... But yes, you can become rich out of this, definatly, even if you don't grow what you expect to (you probably won't)

It will always come down to how much effort you'll put into it through time and adversity

First thought that came to my head was this:

At least in the United States, requiring an ID to book a room is the law. US Hotel Check In Laws

What is your plan to circumvent this? Uber/Lyft found a way to take on taxi companies.. its not impossible, but it is a hurdle nonetheless.
