Are you scared to hold until August 1?

When August 1 comes and nothing happens I expect a big rally, in fact I think it will come even before because there is still little economic support and no mining support for uasf whatsoever.

actually i am starting to believe that August 1st will lead to a huge rise. you know why?

because by that date we will have SegWit activated!
majority of the miners are signalling for SegWit at the moment and the rest are not signalling anything and will switch as soon as the date comes and that means a SegWit activation with the biggest support which is nearly 100% (similar to LTC).

then in a couple of months we will have problems about the hard fork and that can cause a split not the August 1st thing.

You mean those miners that have expressed interest in Segwit2x, signalling by signing messages in the blockchain?

Theres one thing I dont understand there. If they really wanted Segwit then why didnt they support the original proposal in BIP141? Is it the promised hard fork to 2mb block sizes 2 months later? Are they sure it will be wise to hasten things like that?

My bitcoins are secured and I do not think there is nothing to fear about the above said date. If you are a swing trader, you have to make adjustment. But if you are just a long term holder, I think just keeping your bitcoin safe is enough. It is more on the future rather than the swing in prices that concerns me.

i am very scared of today and all the other days until the August 1 and after it because my time is running out and i only have a very limited amount of fiat at hand to buy cheap bitcoin.

for example today is the sadest day of this week for me because i could not buy as much bitcoin at the bottom as i liked to because i didn't have fiat on exchange and the opportunity is already lost.

What is the point of fear in order to fear? If you are afraid and don't want to risk that you will have plenty of time to sell all of your coins. Now the price goes up. At the moment is 2.4 K. I think this week we will see more than 2.6 K. Sell and will not be afraid, I want to hold your coins and don't be afraid. To sit with one ass on two chairs will not work.

Long term traders shouldn't be scared to hold until August 1 or beyond. But if you want to take some profit, just don't feel sorry of selling it when the price starts to increase and you sold it lower. Just don't regret what you are going to do. This is crypto currency the market is always moving.

There are already other versions (forked) of bitcoin (eg. litecoin, dash and others) why is this so FUDdy for others?

Honestly a few days back I was bit paranoid about august 1st but now few days I don't really like to be worried about this anymore it's as simple nothing is going to happen, the hype is over and I would say just hold your coins, do not and I repeat don't use Alt coins, not good at all. Just keep your coins safe with a private key, thats all and if it falls then buy it again. That's all I can suggest you to do.

The miners are giving the reasons for bitcoin core protection, I'm not a professional, but I think bitcoin needs some change, at least it needs larger block numbers. There is an indispensable need for bitcoin.

The price literally dropped to 2300 dollars that is 500 dollar plus drop in price of bitcoin in one day and this is what the effect of segwit stuff. Don't even know wha the august 1st will bring to us. I'm very much confused about holding of my bitcoins.

Correct. He is so scared that he totally forgot how to subtract correctly.  . I'm pretty sure that you are already here last March after the ETF decision and there are a significant drop of the price soon. It was a scary moment because bitcoin drop to below $1000. But look how it rebound and even reach $3000 soon. I think this will also be a repeat of it. If it went down after Aug 1, it will soon bounce back and reach you height. So I'm not scared about Aug 1.
