If you are talking about security then Bitcoin still the safest crypto currency , the wallet is really safe, but if you are talking about the value, we still don't know, until now the value of Bitcoin is really good and secure but in the future we still don't know, but for short term I will suggest you to invest in bitcoin, you will get a lot of profit by holding and investing in bitcoin

I have also heard that Segwit will be reactivated in September. Do not know how that will affect BTC. But at the present moment, its productivity is improving in leaps and bounds. If I were you, then I will suggest making long term investments instead because I have a firm belief in the power of Bitcoins. BTC will always dominate all other crypto currencies.

I think there is no secure guarantee if you invest bitcoin. Bitcoin prices you can not predict may go up or down. But if you want to invest long term maybe bitcoin is the right choice for you. Definitely it's the safest one and those other cyptocurrencies was just rising to it's popularity compared with other potential rising digital currency. Price was now at it's thrill as current fluctuations always changes it's price value every minute, and it's beyond our control. That's right bitcoin is at the top for now, so all crypto currency will always be exchanged with bitcoin because of it's highly profitable value at the current market update at $4000 and above.

If you hou want to invest, invest in a smart way. If you have ventured a while in this forum you must've read that bitcoin is volatile. Take advantage of its volatility. Buy bitcoin if the price is low so you're not just storing, but also earning effortlessly. But it has consequences, the price MIGHT not increase but given its popularity aand demand, its almost impossible to go down continously. It will decrease but will rise in a matter of time.

Still, you need to conduct your own research so you won't regret it in the future. Lastly, bitcoin's the best.

Just my own opinion, I think Bitcoin is so strong because it happened to be the first crypto currency coin. Dont get me wrong, but I guess if Monero or LTC was the first crypto. It will be as strong as Bitcoin now.

There is no safe bet when it comes to cyptocurrencies. especially recently with all the volatility and the upcoming changes in the next month its imperative that you do as much research as you can before investing. If you were to ask me though, long term I would definitely invest. Short term, I wouldn't invest right now with all the uncertainty as the where the price is going after August 1st and which coin to buy. But the number 1 rule with investing, especially in cryptocurrencies ,is invest money you aren't willing to lose.

It is true that all form of crypto-currency have a risk on type of its system so the best thing to do if your going to start on working on the crypot-currency world is to start on bitcoin. Bitcoin is the strongest of all crypto-currency in terms of its price in the market that can be earned by many ways. Well in terms of price, trust, history, popularity, volatility and acceptance in some national banks and international merchants it is no other than Bitcoin. People arround the world believe and invested large ammount of money into BTC than any other coin from time to time. Altcoins I think are only good for short term  investment and BTC is for long term investment. I haven't heared also about local merchants that accept altcoins only BTC nor see an altcoin atm in my country but has atm for BTC. So all in all BTC will be the winner.

If you are asking about the profitability, then Bitcoin is not the way to dump your money. Try some alts that are with good quality and a great applications. bitcoin will always be the highest value among cryptos at least but in terms of profitability most of alt coins are much more better since they pump at a point they doubled or tripled themselves while bitcoin does not but as i say it is the highest value among them all. To answer your question, yes since it will be relatively higher most of the time, but other cryptos will become obsolete after their hype.

I can't say that bitcoin is the safest. Actually, there's no SAFE in cryptocurrency if you are referring to ALWAYS PROFIT and NEVER LOSE. Cryptocurrencies, just like the real money, have changing values from time to time. No one can say what might happen next.

The good thing about bitcoin is that, base on its record in the past years, its value is increasing. Bitcoin is indeed the best cryptocurrency for me. The second most valuable cryptocurrency, ethereum, is way far from the value of bitcoin (about 14.3x the value of ethereum).

I can only give you my personal opinion, and please do not take it an investment tip. I'm not a finance adviser and I'm risking my own money here, and I know I can lose it. For me I would go for bitcoin, it was the first one, it has a great team behind it, if has the biggest community, and it already has a lot of money invested in it. If BTC would fail right now, I think all the other coins would just follow it. In the future I don't know of course.
Also, from an evolution point of view, I think it has the most potential as well (lightning network, atomic swap, are just a few things that will probably come). As for the investment itself, I would see it as a long term investment. Buy what you can and then just hold them. If you are a good trader, I think any coin will do actually, but for holding I would go for BTC.

So yes definitely bitcoin is worth considering your money to put onto stake. There are many coins off course which are as good s bitcoin. They will give you chance to earn hundred times sometimes because they gave initial value of cents and can be pumped to dollars or so which leads to increased margin for selling. In case of bitcoin you may lack that advantage as bitcoin won't go that high immediately and you will have to wait for long. BUT bitcoin is more certain about its incriminating order as compared to other coins. So go ahead and dump some money into it. :-)
