Not the best. So many coins have their prices dipped down so low after ICO.

Some of them get *5 even *100 but some also get *0.5 or less.

The gambling part is : we can more or less know if the project will be good (if you think it's crap then why do you want to throw them your money ?), but of all the peoples interessed in it, how many will buy during ICO ? How many will buy after ? How much ?

Yes. Investing on ICOs are the best way to earn. And the best way of scammers to scam people. So before jumping into investing to ICOs, better check their credibility(dev team). Make a research about it. Not just reading hypes about the particular coin. Better check roadmap and it's whitepaper. Sometimes they are just copy-paste to other. If you invest on a wrong ICO. You may end up getting shitcoins or just a pump and dump coin or worst, you may end crying because they scammed you. Anyway, Pre-ICOs are more riskier than ICO. Pre ICOs are just collecting funds to create the altcoin and promise you huge amount of token. ICO phase is offering cheaper coins. Also they are realeasing funds to advertise. If were to choose. I choose ICO. Lucky for me. I bought potential altcoin. It's IOTA. Anyway, the ICO phase is over. So i will find another good potential ICO.

I've noticed three situations that could make buying into an ICO a bad idea, but I'm sure there are more.

1. Pre-ICO token sales can affect the post-ICO price. Some investors are allowed to buy into a token before the ICO, these buyers are usually given the best price. The pre-ICO buyers can dump their tokens immediately after the coins are listed on an exchange and they can dump them below the ICO price and still make a generous profit. At a minimum, this temporarily screws the ICO investor who paid more for the supposed 'Initial Offering'.

2. Depending on the projects design, devs can be given tokens as a reward and they can dump them immediately after they go to market. If they dump a lot of tokens, they'll dip below the ICO price and affect the ICO buyers value.

3. The project is having problems (devs are leaving, scam uncovered, lack of progress...) and nobody wants to buy it.

I think ICO is not the best way to invest the money. Because many ICO projects are undervalued after entering the market. If you choice best project who can make the investors interesting to investing in maybe will profitable but not guaranteed value can be above the price of ICO.. Second ico profit me x3
Third ico profitted me by x10 (Iconomi) in 1 year time

And now i basically do tradings + minor ico

You need to pick the right one or spread your investment between ICO's. Don't give all your money in one ICO. It may become scam, perform bad, collect more money than needed and price decline or even give too much bounties then it's not profitable. If you pick right projects to invest you are safe. Good luck finding them though.

This is great advice! I never considered that too many bounties could dilute a tokens value.

For me holding bitcoin is more profitable than investing in ICO. The likelihood that your chosen ICO will earn better is very low unlike saving and wait till the price pump.

I agree with you, to evaluate a potential ICO needs a lot of factors because all ICO projects have a long-term development path, if you are calm and patient then you will certainly make a good profit.

especially when you invest while its still in the pre sale that's a sure profits for you if the ico finish completely and the dev listed the coin

Ico is one of the best ways to make money, as long you do some research before invest you wont loose money, atleast the last good coins that used ico had growed well on the last months, and as you choose always the best and potencial coins that the market will use. Yup it is the best way to work for and get big bucks in short period of time. ICO are scam as well as legit too so that would be first thing we should take care of that.
Rest is best, I always start investing into ICO at there presale token period when they have cheapest rates per token. This is important because once you get the coins at that low you have chance of having more profits as you gain big profit windows from it. Yeah it is an opportunity if you get to buy ICO coins . But we should be very careful on the selection of coins. We should make a research of the particular coin we are going to buy. Volume of the coin and its market cap are to be observed since that help us to predict whether the coin is worthy or not.
If the coin is good, do buy it because we can gain more profit of it at the end. Because sooner or later everyone will start buying it at the higher price while we would have bought it at discounted rate.

If we think that the project is worth investing and will really get successful better invest already at their presale, you can buy alot of token at cheap price but if your not really sure and still want to invest on it ,invest at the moment when it can almost reached its target find since it's already a sure success.
