Yes its best to invest to ICO's specially if you hold your tokens for long term since you will get bonus during ico so your money can double right away the moment the coin you choose skyrocket but the problem is you have to chose the best ico and make sure that it has a good Developer and Team so that you will not end up getting scam.

I think you should change your statement from some icos are not successful to most icos are not successful because that is closer to the truth, this is why the market of icos seems to be closing people are sick of getting scammed and to lose their money so they are investing in bitcoin instead.

I don't think that ICO is still best way to invest, ICO is not safe to invest. Although the ICO is succes but expectations of the price you will get if it has been listed in the market is not worth it. It could be that you get the price below the ICO after listed on the market. And also many projects ICO manipulate the total amount they got so people are joined to invest and scam them.

Volume of the coin and its market cap are to be observed since that help us to predict whether the coin is worthy or not.

At the moment it seems to be so..i mean if you pick the right Ico you can really make some good profits..like 5-10x from your initial investment.
But of course it's not like that with every ICO at the moment..so you should do your homework well and pick the right project with the right team and have some luck as well.
I have personally made very good profits with some ICOs since i have started to invest money in crypto.
