Good and promising ICOs are great, but investing in to bad ICO will make loose your money which they are many nowadays.

ICO's are a great way to learn - even if you are planing to invest much it's always worth reading through the ICO Whitepapers to see how people/companies are utilizing Blockchains - there's always great information out there.  There are a lot of ICO's of course and with that a large number that will probably not amount to anything but vapor - always do your research - particularly of the people/teams behind the launch.

So far I had some good pick and I don't regret investing in it. I would do it again to be honest, BTC, ETH and others would've bought me less profit, specially on the long term.

ICOs are 50/50 game. You have 50% chance of making huge profit if the project is genuine and 50% chance of being scammed by fraudsters.

The chances are way lower than that at least 80% of the icos are going to fail which means you have an 80% of losing money a 19% of making some money and a 1% chance of hitting the jackpot and invest in a coin that could potentially make you rich if you invested a large amount of capital.

ICOs are an option to invest and that too a good option. But you cannot depend on them. When so many of them are being released into the digital market every month, how do you bet for one particular coin to succeed and turn into a profitable investment? It is not easy.

There is a certain amount of analysis that needs to be done. It is always better to invest when an ICO is stabilized in the exchange with a reasonable value attached to it. When there are too many in the vicinity, the probability of becoming a success becomes same for all. And similarly the probability of failure too becomes the same for all. At times it appears as though its just a gamble in early stages to invest in ICOs.

Just like in trading a thorough research needs to be done prior to the investment. But if you are simply wishing to gamble then you must remember that you gamble with that money which you can afford to lose. So it is good to invest a little in ICOs but stick to the proven paths for security and surety.

No, it is not the best way to invest.  If you believe just because a coin puts out an ICO it somehow legitimises the project then you are wrong.  It is so easy now for someone to start an ICO using ETH with fancy graphics and nice sounding roadmaps without actually having to have anything in the pipeline.

There will be good ICOs that can work out but if you look at many of the ICOs over time the majority of them fall below ICO value after getting listed on an exchange as people want to cash out with some profit.

The best way to invest is to evaluate the project and not take into account the fact it is an ICO, there are many projects out there that have not felt the need to raise x amount of money prior to doing anything, a prime example of this is bitcoin itself.

Yeah of course, It gives you a lot of chance to be profitable. But we should be careful upon choosing  the coins because there are some coins are dead.

ICO is definitely the best way to gain serious profit in q very short term basis. ICO has produce tremendous liquidity and reasonable profit for its participants. I buy good ICO every time.

I think it's best because when you participate to be an ICO investor, you will be given more tokens especially if there is a bonus, but it depends on how ICOs are going forward, whether the price matches the ICO rate and if it is more profitable.

I like the fact that ICOs bring new ideas to the table, its a shame though that most of them are scams or simply wont work for their own reasons. Researching always helps invest in a successful ICO, but also by participating in campaigns offered by the ICO will help you get an idea if its good, its helped me personally understand that the ICO im participating in, is actually legit and will work in real life.

I think it's more risky if you're investing your own money out of your pocket and turn it into coins from an ICO.
Earning coins from ICO's still better because when a Cryptocurrency fails, you lose nothing but your time. It is still a good choice on putting investment into proven currencies that are already on the top list in the market.

Yes good icos are good for giving a big profit in the future but before we invest on the ico just make sure you research and study all about this ico because there are many ico's who turns into scam and we don't want to be a victim of this that's why it is better to study it in order to avoid regret when this ico turn into scam.

Participating on airdrops recently introduced me to ICOs which is I think a good opportunity to make profit from especially if you're able to buy at a pre-sale value since they give out bonuses for early birds. You just need to really research about the project though and observe what others are saying about it if its a good buy or not.

This situation changes depending on the ICO you select. Some people use ICO as gambling. They can put too much money into an ICO they don't even know what they are, and they don't even bother to read the white page. As a result, many scam projects have filled the ICO market. So it is difficult to invest in any ICO without being thoroughly confident. If there are anyone who want to play gambling, the best advice I can give them is to try their chance on poker tables.

I wouldnt say its exactly the best way to invest but its definitely profitable if the ICO is successful.
I would say a prime example of a recent ICO that will be successful imo is trade.io  raising $17mil +  in funds and still going strong.
