Less can be sure but I'm sure it will not be long time will be more retailers will receive bitcoin payments as time goes by, because of course bitcoin will increasingly become more popular among people and closer to people across the country and of course automatically there will be many people who have an idea to open a business that accepts bitcoin payments.

To be exact on when will more retailers accept Bitcoin, that will be still uncertain. Legalization of Bitcoin in most of the countries should happened first. I wish our country is like Japan too that accepts Bitcoin more. This could be a process to different countries. But that's what we want to have in time. Bitcoin has indeed a great opportunity to be the worlds currency in time. This needs to be discovered more by individuals.

Definetely, bitcoin being used as a locally accepted transaction mechanism is not a far sighted reality. Many store chains and PoS are accepting it. I think soon it will be under global acceptance beause of the merits it holds and the popularity it has gained over the period of time.

And when this will happen, bigger companies wont stay away from getting benefitted from this awesome technology. When they will see large number of there customers are using bitcoins as a transaction mode, they will have to accept it to sustain or rather grow their market.

I think that we will see as much more retails will accept crypto curriencies as a payment method in the closest future. It will became more realistic as we see services for merchants which help them to accept crypto coins and receive fiat money at their bank accounts. It already doesn’t look like fantastic.

Bitcoin is a currency which as the potential to become worlds global currency and accepted globally. As many of the people are unknown to bitcoin they cannot use it. but still it is spreading very quickly in the world as more any more people are taking interest in them. but still many big company like google and amazon have started taking interest in them and using it for there profit. bitcoin is the best way to earn money online and it is better for safe and secure transactions also.

I believe Amazon will accept Bitcoin soon, maybe in this year is possible. Because the Bitcoin price still needs to have reason to keep its value at high price after the hardfork, a good news like Amazon accepted for their platform will help the Bitcoin price increase to $10,000 Cool

Until there is an adequate fork, which will speed up the payment process, bitkoyn will not go to the masses. SW2X is not an option. But an outlook in right direction

"Japan: No Bitcoin Tax, Thousands of Stores to Accept the Cryptocurrency"

article published July, 5, 2017
https://edgylabs.com/2017/07/05/japan-no-bitcoin-tax-stores-accept-cryptocurrency/

"AirRegi is a widely used, tablet-based point-of-sale app in Japan. Currently, around 260,000 establishments, stores, and commercial facilities use this proprietary app to accept payments from their clients."

It makes sense that a transition to accept bitcoin would be underway for more US-based stores.
As being said, I think it is obvious that more retailers will accept not only Bitcoin but also other cryptocurrencies when the time come that it id legal to most of the countries. Ofcourse if it is supported by different countries and governments, they will be forced to accept it with assurance. And i think this is close to reality since Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency are getting more popular nowadays.

all will receive payment with bitcoin when all retailers already know the advantages of having bitcoin, but for now still less knowledge about bitcoin to retailers.

Do you think that retailers, some of them running billions of dollars daily are so stupid not to check out what bitcoin is?
You can't run a multinational business with thousands of employees , hundreds of suppliers if you don't keep touch with the progress in every field.

The problem is not that they don't have a clue, the problem are exactly the bitcoin holders.
Read the threads and you will see 90% of the new bitcoin "users" are holding to their coins and label as stupid anyone who spends them.
Why would a retailer use this payment system if customers don't?

Besides that there is also the tx fee. Don't forget that this is payed once by the customer but again by the shop when it collects all the payments from multiple addresses.
With fees reaching 1-2$ for 1-2 inputs/output that's extremely high compared to cash and plastic solutions.

We need faster and larger blocks.

The bitcoin gets broadened extremely fast but we can not expect only bitcoin for use from retailers/merchants inside a short period of time. What I see in the near future is the plug-in of other coins too and so with each other to become a spot to spend with cryptocurrencies (such as Btc, Eth, Ltc...)So you will see a price reduction if you spend with cryptocurrencies (or a cash back, gift or something like that) to include more and more people to use cryto.

I would imagine it would try taking some much more general widespread acceptance, but also some elevated price stability. There would be additional factors, obviously, so that as much more approval happens there would be potential rules in place, but price balance would probably be a greatly important factor for more acceptance.

It will not happen soon. Each retailer can get more problems with cryptocyrrencies than advanteges. Firstry, with regulator. Secondary, what company should do with coins? Hold for better days or withdraw to fiat?

I've two better phrases:  unfavorable externalities.Current financial aspects is built on the theory when we deny guy the authority to run a component or whole of his work in the other whims and desires, we are able to achieve better recent results for him and every one of us. I have yet to check this out efficient on the large scale. Never on an person 1.

Retailers are waiting for legal clearance by governmets before accepting cryptocurrencieas as payment method.  There are so many startups which aim to convert cryptocurrencies to fiat. So there is no point to mention volatility as problem.

Difficult question. But answer is very simple and logical. While all countries will not legalize bitcoin, nothing will change. If great countries will begin officially recognize and legalize bitcoin, then reception of bitcoins in the worldwide will begin. Many countries are afraid of risks, as bitcoin as we know is not stable and full of surprises in the form of money laundering and transfers without any identification.

We cannot predict and guess when will more retailers accept bitcoin because it depends on them when will they decide to accept bitcoin. We cannot also force them to accept bitcoin because they might blame us if what will happen to them. So it is better to wait for their decision that to pressure them to accept it when it is still against on their own will. We also need to respect their decision because it is not good if they will accept bitcoin because they are forced.

Its happening slowly. But I think there will still be some countries who would shy away from crypto currencies because of the fact that it is difficult go regulate. It would be good to see more retailers accepting them though. I also wonder if it is possible in the future for companies to pay employees via btc, that would be something else entirely.

The fees are the only problem with the possible acceptance of bitcoin to the stores or retailers in different country and that is why they are hesitating for accepting bitcoin because they know that their customer might not prefer bitcoin to use as a payment because they can just use their paper money and keep their bitcoin so it will be just a rare form of using bitcoin as a payment because of the high transaction fees that my increase a lot of total value in USD.
