I was thinking about OmiseGo vs Icon
These two projects are considerably similar in terms of aims and primary target markets (Asia) from what I make out. Both seem to offer a DEX and trading in different currencies. ICX seems to be somewhat ahead in terms of progress/adoption, but the OMG team is working on a blockchain scalability solution (Plasma) which far outdoes ICX's 9000 tps.

Agreed. If they can follow the roadmap this year can be big for OMG. About diversification, as a long term holder OMG is one of my favorite.

Why would the banks want to work with OmiseGo team when their mission is to eliminate them? Even if they meet with all the banks in Asia, I doubt the banks would acquiesce. Hence, you will just get the pics of the meeting and not the content. I'm still skeptical about OmiseGo thinking they will take over the banking system in Asia

I have seen that OmiseGo is listed on coinmarketcap and its already doing great for itself. Earlier posts on this thread mentioned that the project is even listed on bittrex. I don't know if I am confused or not, is the ICO yet to come?

ICO is over. Now thei valuation over $1 billion and recently they revealed the new roadmap, you can find couple of posts above if you're interested.

OmiseGO exists for several years, but I do not see the prerequisites for the real use of this token. Yes, a great team of the project. Yes, a good price. But I do not understand why OmiseGO is needed.
