Way to go YaCoin. This will increase liquidity. Next stop-- merchants accepting YaCoin for payments. Why not? It's tons faster than Bitcoin and litecoin.
I don't think merchants are going to accept it any time soon, but for OTC trading and fast fund transfers between exchanges (very useful for arbitrage), YAC is a killer. I've been buying and selling OTC over the last couple of days, and it's pretty amazing how fast your are getting confirmations. YAC is probably the best thing we have to face Ripple and its 10-second ledger confirmations. How ironic that a coin that was meant to be a quick pump & dump finally turns out to be a very effecive money transfer method.

Guys I went to sleep and when I wake up I found you just left it to .0006! Oh man, come on!! Let's put this up to .001 again! Yacoin early miners have the weakest hand ever in the history of crypto-currencies. That was a quite pathetic and very amateur pumping, and they liquidated most of their early mover advantage for peanuts shells. They even managed to drop the price lower than the cheapest OTC price ever. Very entertaining panic demonstration. Anyway, now that early adopters are done peeing in their pants, and the coins moved to stronger hands, we can start seeing real growth for that one-of-a-kind CPU only cryptocoin. Expect the exchange rate to make a major rally once people understand that the price already hit the bottom, and YAC isn't going away. Soooo, I'm an early miner, but I understand that if I sell all my coins now, I'll get near $1000. It is rather small sum. But maybe many of these panic sellers are people who need any amount of money "just now", no matter how many - 10, 100, 1000 dollars. But it is good in my opinion - good cryptocurrencies need strong hands (not like CNC\FTC).

But it is good in my opinion - good cryptocurrencies need strong hands (not like CNC\FTC). Quite true. Though I'm curious to hear why these people held their coin while they were being offered 1BTC/1k+ OTC, only to suddenly panic and sell off at a measly 0.5BTC/1k at the first bear trap on the first exchange session? Anyone with the attention span of a gnat would have observed that all other much less deserving coins way past their initial hype are still trading at 1BTC/1k minimum... Someone who panick sold wants to share his experience? How did it feel like? In hindsight, do you think you have been influenced by the FUD around the windows binary integrity, or lured in selling by the decoy 1-unit sell orders used to artificially narrow the spread downward? Now that's interesting because people who missed the train and didn't start mining / buying early are given a unique chance to make up for that. It means that, going forward, accusations of unfair advantage by early adopter won't have any credibility, because every one had a chance to buy loads of coins at 0.5 BTC / 1k, and insiders completely failed to make much anything of their first mover advantage.

What drove it down was that hacker on here who stole 50,000 + YAC and dumped them at half the market price on BTER
The real idiots are the people that sent him their YAC thinking they would get 2 BTC / 1K when BTER market rate at the time was .7
HOW COULD ANYONE BE THAT STUPID? It boggles my mind I suppose greed is a powerful thing that's why the 1% are as rich as the lower 99%

Well, if that's really what happened, he is an idiot. He would have made twice as much by selling bit by bit on the way up. That guy has got a cheap karma.

That doesnt make any sense, since what you write would be an example for greedy people getting poot instead of rich.

well even bter's comment on YAC being there is FUD ...
Agreement: YAC is a very new crypto-currency hasn't been proved safe enough from double spend attacks. Although the possibility is low, it might have backholes, bugs in it's source codes. It's risky to support the new crypto-currency YAC on an exchange platform. We have isolated YAC exchange platform on new servers to protect other crypto-currencies. Before using YAC exchange platform, you must agree that you will proportionally share the losses caused by double spreed attacks and other safty issues. We charge a higher trading fee for YAC for covering our costs.
so people would not be thinking that the market price for YAC would be low, considering BTER just adapted YAC there for the sake of being an early adapter and not even doing an thorough investigation of the crypto-currency first before adding it to their trading system.... pretty FUD
