Hi, newbie here and I'd really appreciate any answers.

I've been reading like mad and just have some fundamental questions:
1) What exchange do you use? On that exchange, do you buy with market or limit orders?
2) What wallet do you use? I am interested in a paper wallet that can hold multiple kinds of coins, not just bitcoin.

And I think that's about it. Thanks!

Bitcoins are a modern equivalent of cash and, every day, another merchant starts accepting them as payment. We know how they are generated and how a bitcoin transaction works, but how are they stored? We store fiat cash in a physical wallet, and bitcoin works in a similar way, except it's normally digital.Bitcoin wallets store the private keys that you need to access a bitcoin address and spend your funds. They come in different forms, designed for different types of device. You can even use paper storage to avoid having them on a computer at all. Of course, it is very important to secure and back up your bitcoin wallet.

1). I used my local exchange to convert btc for fiat or vise versa. I buy directly with current market, I'm not really active to trading bitcoin, just buy/sell it for spending purpose.

I usually trading with altcoin and I comfortable with arbitrage, so I used exchange which can use to arbitrage. For example: bittrex, poloniex.

2). I used various wallet, I separate the usage of wallet I used to be: for spending, trading/business purpose and storing. I used mobile wallet for spending, desktop wallet for trading/business purpose and paper wallet for storing.
Paper wallet which can hold multiple coins sounds good idea.

1. I mostly do altcoin day trading so poloniex and bittrex are my favorites. I buy with limit orders rather than just buying off from the current sell order.

2. I am using electrum for bitcoin and jaxx to store altcoins like eth, ltc and etc. You can also use jaxx if you want to store multiple kinds of coins in one wallet. Jaxx also give you private key of your addresses.

1) What exchange do you use? On that exchange, do you buy with market or limit orders?
= bittrex, poloniex, novaexchange, coinexchange and other exchanger (reason,it's really hard to trust all of our money in a single exchange because a lot of issue happened and many people hardly get their money back) buy using market or limit it depends on situation and condition, and many people likely use limit as their orders

2) What wallet do you use? I am interested in a paper wallet that can hold multiple kinds of coins, not just bitcoin.
= just keep it in exchange if you want to hold multiple coin,if you use an offline wallet it's really dangerous and not safe for your bitcoin.problem happened because many people try to download multiple account and on it there's an attachment in thr wallet(viruses and malicious software)

Bitcoin Exchange is the online website to handle Bitcoin trading, whereas Bitcoin wallet is the best service to store your Bitcoins in a secured manner. Till now, I didn't use any wallets, but according to others opinion, Coinbase is the best one. Buying of bitcoins and using of wallets is simple. Find the best Bitcoin Exchange in the online and trade a currency for bitcoins. After that, store your bitcoins in your wallet. Bitcoin exchange is simple than other existing methods.

You should try using bittrex or poloniex . I am currently using yobit but i am gonna shift it to bittrex because yobit has more scam coins and its a great platform for people who pump and dump and i dont like that. So i am thinking to shift over to bittrex . My friends say not to keep all your money on a single exchange and thats absolutely true but i have only a few dollars right now and soon enough when i hold a substantial amount of bitcoins i will spread it over to other few exchanges. The wallet to use would be Mycelium as it gives you the ability to control your coins by the private key. It has the option to export the private key so that we can keep it a safer place.

You can choose bitstamp and kraken for bitcoin trading and poloniex & bittrex for altcoin trading. Talking about wallets that can hold multiple coins in one wallet than you should go with either jaxx or exodus.

If you want to just hold bitcoin for considerably long time than you should either use paper wallet printed from offline printer and computer or you should buy hardware wallets like trezor, ledger..

Agreed but there is difference between mobile wallet and online wallets? What is the difference? Difference is that both are connected to the internet which is called online wallets. So when you are using a mobile wallets then this is an application of any online websites of wallet. So everyone online wallet websites are having application like bittrex and poloniex.

Just avoid poloniex. I have lost 3.5BTC on their platform, and their support is not answering since 2 months now.

Try bittrex or something like that.

Electrum wallet for my bitcoin trading. Fast and Lightweight. Exodus wallet for holding multiple coins.

1) Been using local exchange for withdrawing purposes only. If we are to talk about trading platforms, Im using Poloniex. My buying behaviour depends on what I feel to do.

2) Been using desktop wallet for long time now for bitcoin specifically, Electrum. Just take minute to install and easy to used. Sometimes Im using local wallet just for service purposes only as no doubt they have the best feature when using bitcoin in various ways. For altcoins storage, Im downloading their official client available at their respective website. If not available, then risking some on exchange wallet.

I use 4-5 exchanges for trading. My primary exchange is BTC-e, due to the low fees and lack of mandatory ID verification. Localbitcoins is another exchange which I'd recommend, especially to the new users. And limit orders are always better than market orders. Just need to be patient, and you can get your coins at least 2% to 3% cheaper.

Hi there!

As an advice, you should use more than one exchanges and I would suggest Poloniex, Bittrex, Kraken and Bitfinex. I use them personally and I did not had any issues from them.

I do Limit orders if I see that the price can still go down to the best price to buy and I do Market if the current price Price shows the best for me to buy. Price charts would be very helpful and of course you need to back it with technical and fundamental analysis.

For the paper wallet, I would suggest https://walletgenerator.net/. They have security checklist recommendation so make sure to follow them such as:

"download the website from Github and open the index.html file directly from your computer" and "generate your random wallet offline".

I will send you a private message and I hope you would find the time to read it.

Looking forward to hear from you soon!

We are here to give you all the latest from the Cryptocurrency space!

I think myetherwallet is very popular nowadays but be sure you will take care of your private key and double check the site you will be getting in due to lots of phishing attempt now and you might lose your money if you are careless. Most of the ICOs now are under Ethereum platform and with this it will surely make ethereum valuable in the future. When I actively trade, I love to traded in bittrex since the have most of the legitimate coins and I have a good experience their in terms of profitability.

You can use the coins.ph as a bitcoin wallet. Coins.ph is a wallet in where your bitcoin is not stagnant but your bitcoin can grow bigger in a short period of tine and in a very simple way that you do.
