How big was the bribe???
Good question actually...
If I understand things correctly:
New alt-coins are "pre-mined" before being introduced onto a trading platform
where they ll get dumped once an appropriate price increase is achieved?
A classic "pump&dump" scenario

The question is, does it matter?

The only thing making YAC stand out is it's use of an alternate scrypt library... making all other miners unusable.
My real question -- what happens when someone subs the alt-scrypt implementation into cgminer... then where will the coin be?

I will NEVER ask for any kind of funds up front in a buy/sale of anything on bitcointalk.

And? It already hit an exchange, and was already raped down to .0008. You think it will hit btc-e for more than that?

Not saying someone hasn't done it, but it's not that easy.

Does it matter?

Yes, because that would mean they were given an incentive to add it Wink

They'll probably add it around 2 a.m. so they can dump at the highest prices possible.

There aren't going to be high prices. Why would someone pay higher to get it from BTC-e, when they can get it on Bter for 0.00085? The pump and dump already happened

New Coins always start pretty high on BTC-E plus there's way more people/money on BTC-e and don't forget that awful trollbox pumping coins to noobs.
