Just started to mine this pool and waited to get some results. Look what I got:

# 18001
Date: 2013-05-12
Time: 16:34:10
Round time: 2:41:01
Overall shares: 23191072
My shares: 12006
Reward: 0.00675712
Block: 235854
Value: 25.41062002

Let's do the calculations:
I did 12006 shares.
Whole pool did 23191072 shares.
It means I did 0.0517% from overall work.
So I should get 0.0517% from the block reward (25BTC) => 0.01295 BTC.
How this can be, what I got 0.00675712 - around a half from what should be?
Who got the over half? Maybe a pool? Maybe other miners according to some policy?

Hey, slush, can you explain this?

Relevant: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1976.msg50002#msg50002

You were trying to cheat (or it looked like you were trying to cheat), and so you get paid less. There is no manual intervention and the system is completely fair.

Slush is based on weighted shares, you didn't perform a weighted calculation.

My name was simply a play on "Blue Engineer" from Team Fortress. I am not affiliated with Microsoft or the Azure project.

I didn't cheat. If I would cheating I would not complain about rewards.
I didn't hop. I was mining this block from start to end without stops.
Weighted shares is make difference between mining in beginning of the round and on the ending of the round  - for miners who don't hop and present trough all the round it should be very close to PPS - 0.0005176 BTC / share.

Reward formula from pool:
"(25 BTC + block fees - 2% fee) * (shares found by user's workers) / (total shares in current round)"
This formula should give me double reward.

And yes, it seems I'm not the only one to pay attention to this. It just underpay for the work.

slush actually invented pooled mining and was the very first pool, so maybe use carefully those strong words.
