hello!

according my vision  bitcoin is in high price assimilate last years , and there is many alt-coin still profitable more than bitcoin like ETH an LTC

so could we say bitcoins overrated for investing ? if not ,what was the best price for investing ?

are alt-coin better than btc in trading ? why ?

i create this topics to get your advices to start my own investissement ! thanks for replying

If your goal is to trade then altcoin is the best choice. Because with a little capital you can maximize the profit you can get. Etherum price is cheaper than bitcoin, so the percentage increase in price will be faster. Look at the benchmark graph ethehrum, etherum has a price that continues to rise and fall. that we can use to benefit from some action.

Investment is a form of asset with a hope of gaining profit in the future "long-term" see bitcoin prices in 2015 and in 2017 or today, it's not too overrated

Altcoin is better for trading due to fluctuations or price movements in altcoins faster

Considering all crypto world high risk investment, BTC is the less risky so i would put a bigger part in BTC. Moreover, even if BTC fails at solving escalability and fungibility problems it will remain a good choice for storage of value. As for ETH, i think it is a great project but with lots of garbage and projects built on top of it. So when one or two BIG startups mess up, eth will take a serious hit.
This being said ETH is in my portfolio but it a lesser extent than BTC

agreed. ICO's will be responsible mostly for the fall of Ether price. You never know when some ICO starts liquidating their ETH

I would prioritise Bitcoin for investment. The Ether and Litecoin are nurtured twins who will be playing around the gravity of bitcoin. They will never be able to oppose the force of bitcoin and leave the orbit to become mostly invested coins in the market. The prime reason is bitcoin's potential to grow with green candle on the stock exchange. The rest are assured but they don't have potential to sustain the market. You can measure the bitcoin value with current scenario where fall of bitcoin led to dumping of all the coins even though we were able to move bitcoin into altcoins to prohibit the losses. In any case bitcoin will stand a chance to rise up and it has proven itself many a times. Period.

Yup long term investment you can go with Bitcoin. There is a huge price variation b/w 2015 to 2017. One thing is sure the price of the bitcoin will not go down. Means not go like 2015 price. So without thinking other things you can invest on Bitcoin. Short time trading I will also advice go with new ICO projects.

Without Bitcoin ETH couldn't exist and survive, without altcoins Bitcoin still has the ability to sustain a fair market

Share for as long as new investors pour money, don't mistake BTC with ponzi, in a ponzi system there is no product

People could use and or have any use for it if there is or they couldn't have the product, Bitcoin is a currency with

No central bank, that is a fine product with many use cases, however it's not good for small investments, you need

o mine altcoins and convert them into Bitcoin to earn something small. I wouldn't trade them only mine.

Both is good to invest. Bitcoin gives you high profit in the future and even as of now the price of bitcoin decreasing last few days ago but it will recover again and if you see theprice as of now it will recover again. Ethereum also dump in the last few weeks but I believe it will increase again so its better if you buy ethereum and bitcoin and for sure you will earn a lot of profit after few months or maybe few years of holding of this two coin.

It seems to me that the etherium is a little bit more likely to make a profit for today, while Bitcoin is stormy and in the market it is not calm.

If we see it as higher profit, I guess ethereum is the top ranked altcoins for now and that will really benefit moat of the traders online. I will chooae ethereum to be at advantafe level of all alt,  but definitely bitcoin is the most promising currency to gather all the too value and much appreciated to be the main exchange for the ethereum value being sold at the marketplace of exchange sites.

Not overrated, bitcoin is still the best cryptocurrency to invest in. After a huge dip in the price due to the coming august 1 the price is still above $2300 and it will surely boost high after august 1. Alt-coins are not better option than bitcoin because after august 1 the price of bitcoin will rise high and many of the altcoins will face a huge fall.

Why not both? Bitcoin is adored worldwide and the highest grossing crypto currency ever. On the other hand, ETH has come up to become a worthy contender, not in pricing but surely in acceptance and market cap. ETH now has the second highest market cap after bitcoin. So why don't you make use of both of them. Both are good for long as well as short term investing.

I mainly arbitrage so I don't really use any altcoins. I use only BTC/USD pair. So can't tell you about altcoins. But there are lot of coins which are good for long term investment like ETH. I have bought few ETH few months back and I am planning to hold them for some more years. Because I have a positive outlook about ETH. Study the market well, and I'm sure you will find a lot of altcoins worth trading. LTC, Ripple, Monero to name a few.

Still great choice to trade both you have a potencial to gain more if you trade both ethereum is not for short term it can be also for long term investment that i think it can be still stay long in the market..
Bitcoin is increasing its value every year or even few days you can see the fast price value increase but it needs a good amount of bitcoin to gain a good amount of profit and for ethereum we don't know if ethereum can be increase more since many traders and investors are supporting ethereum i think we will see also the price increase and its normal to see the price drop..

I don't want to unbiased these two type of cryptocurrency. For me, I have first met Bitcoin before I've met to altcoin. I enjoyed my work in bitcoin, but when altcoin came, I got more interested in it. Bitcoin is just only one term but in altcoin, there's a lot of terms they used for it. Since you are just a newbie just try first in bitcoin because in bitcoin you have learned a lot of things. If you think that you don't deserve bitcoin, then decide to choose an altcoin.

There is no difference as long as you have profit from your choice. I bought some little amount of bitcoins from a friend, and from signature I
plan to earn some tokens, later I plan to exchange those tokens for bitcoins first. I see that both bitcoin and ethereum are good for making money
on them or with them, but I will give my voice to bitcoin.
I did not made some big research about etherum, like I did with bitcoin. Here on forum I saw that ethereum is not decentralized like bitcoin,
everything depends from one man, and that pushed me away from ethereum.

BIG WINNER!

When comes time for growth into any portfolio, try adding alt-coins into a mix with BTC rather than going with one over another. I have BTC and Doge currently so with added value and exchange rate is seems to make the purity of conversion into its height. If accepted at a payment processor, there's growth by people using that and any combination of the service. In all honesty this typically becomes superior to belief, that any one coin is better when they're all connected so the value gained can come from any source to compare long term value.

It depends on what you believe in at the end. Bitcoin is the poster boy and most everyone knows about it, it's more stable in terms of price but that may not be for too long. Ethereum seems to be faster and better, but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll quickly pass up BTC. It needs support from the public.
Why not choose both? BTC is the best coin in the market but ETH is the second one as long as you earn your profit you can choose any altcoins out there it may help you to explore more and both coins have a potential so you can choose anything you want but it's still depend on your choice
