Why use Bitcoins ?

I keep seeing threads on “why don't people” ? The real question to me is Why would they ?

-The average consumer will go way out of their way to save money. Bitcoins cost more.
-The average consumer will usually pay a little extra to have convenience. Bitcoin is less convenience and more hoops and complications.

I just cannot see any reason for the average consumer to use Bitcoins. Until average consumers start using Bitcoins they will just be an experiment and a small speculative bubble.

I have my personal reasons, I am interested Bitcoins them as a tech person, speculative investor and person that follows evolving treads and markets. I am just struggling to see any.. benefits for the average consumer at this stage.  

Bitcoin was not designed in the way you are describing it. Bitcoin was not made for people to use it to buy groceries and everyday spending with. It is meant as an investment option, similar to gold.

Bitcoin is also fairly anoymous, especially if you use multiple addresses. Think of bitcoin as gold and compare them. They re both investments but Bitcoin has the abilibity to be spent online.

Bitcoin is not only a vessel to store value but it's also really useful in the remittance industry. I can send 100,000$ paying a mere 4$ in fees with Bitcoin while it would cost me 3000$ with PayPal and I'd take some risk to do the paypal transaction while doing the same thing from a traditional bank would cost some money,time & would probably raise questions.

Becose to send bitcoin in China to buy equipment I dont need go to bank and wait 3 days SWIFT transaction. My transaction in bitcoin blockchain after few minutes accepted and a I may get my equipment.

You must use bitcoin because bitcoin is widely used by many.And bitcoin is already tested to be legit.Bitcoin can really help you in yoir financial needs and bitcoim can help you in so many things.With the less of your time and effort you can gain so much money.

before, i use bitcoin for just investment only, but after ive join in this forum, ive learn a lot of things and some useful information to improve my earning in bitcoin, ive learn how to trade and join ICO using my bitcoin and now im earning ,not too much but its enough for me to start a new life.

It depends on the person who is using bitcoin. There are people who are using bitcoin on their everyday needs since this is the only way they are earning money, and they really need it, that is why we can't blame them on using it on their everyday living, though in a way they are throwing away the profits that they could make in the long run if they are going to hold it and will just convert some if they need it.

Actually, majority of the person here they used bitcoin to their daily lives to all expenses they need to buy. Especially, bitcoin most used for sending money thru remittances.

I guess we all have our own reasons and understanding about bitcoin. I invested in Bitcoin believing that it would be our worlds currency. Now why should I use bitcoin?, my answer is because it is the future money, now that its still a bit early to use it as payment in stores or wherever you can think of, I just hold it and wait for it to grow more. Well, its purpose is to send money to whoever you like without having a third party that would make money out of your transaction, if that is the way our future transactions would be, then I would like to be part of it.

For why i use bitcoin is to get an income because being a student it hard to buy our needs if our money is not enough to our daily expenses to that i use bitcoin to provide my daily needs and also to support my studies.

Everyone will have their own point of view to this question. For many of us, bitcoin is the future. Because people are earning money through bitcoin and this is what makes their dreams come true and they earn with hard work. Else, students need to fulfill their daily expense too. Well bitcoin is really not that cheap in fact it is more valuable than any other fiat. For me use bitcoin because of it's technology that allows us to enjoy those benefits that you mention and use bitcoin because you want to secure your future. There's a big opportunity here on bitcoin you just need to find it how to maximize those opportunity.

Base in our generation, bitcoin is made of internet generation. So it the all transaction was very fast and easily. It may be procedural but not like the other. Example using the credit card it more step to do but in bitcoin was not and our time was reduces also.Bitcoin is provide financially freedom and it secured.

It's funny.  This thread could have been started in 2009 and would still be on point.

Unless you earn bitcoin directly, there's no reason whatsoever to go out of your way
to buy it, just to spend it.  I get that point.  Then there's the issue of merchants not
accepting it.  Then there's the issue of transaction fees, which credit cards don't
have.  The list goes on...

I have spent bitcoin on things, mainly because I got those coins from a sig campaign.
But Johnny Funkbombs on the street doesn't earn money that way, so he has no
reason to want to own it or to spend it.  Bitcoin should be kept like precious metals
are kept.  Or the way stocks are held.

I absolutely agree with you and also think that, now, there are no reasons for an average consumer to use bitcoin. Bitcoin is already a trend but still most people don’t really use it. Probably things will change in some time as more shops, stores or any services will start accepting bitcoins.

because online currency is better then cash handleing if we invest the money in bitcoin the value of the money will also increase
