Hello,

What best contest for this kind of games?
This is easy odd-even game with provably fair, without registrations.
I want run simple contest.
Please post your opinion.

Thanks to all!
Profit contest is also a good alternative if you don't like doing a wager contest. Win streak contest is another good one there could be more but for now those two are the only contests I can think for your odd even game.

-snip-
It's correct their house edge is set at 1% because they reduce your chances of winning/lossing from 50% to 49.5%.
49.5 (losing chance)+49.5 ( winning chance) + 1(house edge) = 100

ok, you can try OddEvenBets.com
Giveaway 0.025 LTC here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2040084.0

49.5 (losing chance)+49.5 ( winning chance) + 1(house edge) = 100

This is applicable only to dice type game where you are able to choose your win chance which is reduced to keep the HE ... instead of regular 50% (would mean 0%HE) it's lowered to 49.5. I understand that.

But in OPs game the win chance is fixed (5 even nrs, 5 odd nrs ... so its 50:50) and the only thing he can adjust HE is by amount of winnings.
Moreover there is very, very small probability the result hash will not contain any digit ... what happens then? ( I know it's almost imposible to happen but should be clarified as well ).

@OP Why are you not reacting to my question? You should be able to easily answer how you come up with 1% HE. I started to feel you don't know.
Please show me the applicable formula for HE of your game.

You are right, 5 even and 5 odd, win chance is fixed 50:50.

Example:
1. Bet 10 LTC is lost
2. Bet 10 LTC is win
3. Return 19.8 LTC

House edge = 1 - (return / loss)
loss=20 LTC
return=19.8 LTC

House edge = 1 - (19.8 /20) = 1 %

BTW my second thought in post above might be what you are looking for. A jackpot for players whose hash contains no digits (could lure many players if the reward is adequate to probability this will happen).

....

@OP Can you explain how did you calculate the house edge? I'm not an expert in this but would expect to receive 1.99*my bet if the HE is 1% ( you offer only 1.98*my bet ).

1.98x is 1% house edge. 1.99x is 0.5% house edge. Google for more...

OP, you 1st need to add bitcoin and then may be a wagering contest will be the best way to promote your game. But with escrow of the prize. Otherwise nobody will participate.
But it makes no sense. According this logic the 1.5x payout would be 25% HE and 1x payout would be 50% HE ? How come  Huh   Theoretical max HE should be 100%.
Thats why I asked how it is calculated as I have no experience and just tried to apply common sense.

I did some quick googling and found this formula: House edge = 1 - (return / loss)  (source)  which gives me -98% ( assuming this number reflects the 2% HE).
Feel free to educate me.

The replies you got are unecessarily complicated

Just look at it like this

What's 1% of 2? It's 0.02
Which means 99% of x2 would be x1.98

Simple as that.

Looking for a signature campaign.

Jackpot is good. I think need if digits like 777 or 555.
I think Probability of hash without digits will be ~0..
Thanks!

Wah maybe if you were going to create a contest and new type of gambling then waggered is the best set a goal and starting point that people only use to gamble untile they will search the maximum waggered you give to them. And the jack pot will be going to be big.

If you want to simplify and make a fair policy to every user when it comes to gambling games then you must think of a new game and if cant think one then you must add some spices on the old games like having a round robin to know the outcome of the game and make the player play with the content of their heart that they really win or lose. Brainstorm some ideas, you'll put it together. Include the fun in games, not just a roll or a wish the next card feeling.

i think the best contest directbet tipster contest, good reward and only high profit sport betting

Your post is off topic based on what the OP's game. An odd-even games is not capable to apply a tipster competition because there is no betting on the game.

I like the OP's idea for creating a game which didn't required an account in able to play. I think the contest for this kind of game a bingo game just like what PD does. But you can add some effects on your game like creating a bingo cards for each participants then post the bet hash code as proof of ownership.

Bingo seems interesting in this game. LOL
Though problem is that it the player with the most bets will likely win it faster than others.
I am not sure how it can be done that everybody has the same amount of chances even if
they all joined the game with different amount of bank rolls.

You can run monthly leaderboard contest where the one who can make maximum profit will win some good amount of free bitcoin. You can ask players to enter their receiving bitcoin address where they will be getting most of their winnings and you should keep record of all incoming deposits and payout, the one with higher ratio of payout to deposit must be selected as winner.

It might be risky might they feel that you are scamming so better to avoid these things let them to write their own if they are interested because do not take a risks like that because it is too risky and painful at the peak point so I would say that do that what you have to do. Don't interfere those places where you don't work there so I hope you might got the point.
