With identity theft spreading wild, this has been a real concern of mine too. For the ICON (ICX) crowd-sale it was required to hide sensitive information in the documents we sent. For example, hiding the passport ID Number as well as the bottom number code. Can we get an assurance that our documents are handled with care or destroyed once approved? thanks!

No. the presale holders have 2 option :

a) To lock tokens for 3-6 months and get 5-10% bonus (coming out of the founders’ personal allocation)
OR
b) Sell preWaBi back to WaBi Project at 8.5USD/preWaBi or 0.25USD/WaBi (reflecting the 1:34 preWaBi to WaBi ratio).

This way, whatever 'dumping' might occur will be absorbed by the project and not the ICO contributors at the exchange.

Exactly. This is stopping me from investing. I don't mind providing some sort of ID, but specifically a scanned passport with all numbers and characters visible is pretty suspect. I don't know these people. It's a massive risk. Can any member of the team comment on this?

And not absolutly sure but I think all the tokens are still locked by wabi.
So they can easily freeze these tokens or change it to "real" wabi

So, it works like buyback guarantee to avoid a massive sale. Whatever who chose option 1 or 2, it looks equally beneficial. But Pre-Wabi owner is the most benefited, buy at 0.03$ and sell for 8.5$. That's huge

A great price gap! But wabi wrote thats because of the uncertainty at the beginning of the project, so the investors had an incentive
