You don't think a little bit of actual skill and experience is required to keep that boring old base layer alive?
I kinda do.
There is a big difference between maintaining a simple protocol / keep things up & running and dev tricky things on top of it and get it plugged in. BCH needs rather many teams from business doing the second. |

That's the problem, there is no dev team, only charlatans. Not a single cypherpunk on board with BCH. I think it is not fair to say that. There are some teams behind it. That is pure bullshit. There are 2-3 developers that have never produced any worthwhile code for Bitcoin. In other words: There is no development team, there are a few children playing in the sand box. .. producing shitty technobubbles like sipa and BMatt ? - Big Blocks can be coded by children - all what is needed. - keep the base protocol as simple as possible that others can build easy on top. You seem to need some blinding to feel safe. So in the future if some critical bug is found will they be able to fix it I mean they are not any kind of cryptographer so far all the work has been done by core with some amateur dev changing a few settings the only real bit of code that was added ended up being broken and required a HF to try and fix it and so far the new DAA although better than before is still far from perfect Sure - there are different devs / teams (ABC, BU, nChain, ViaBTC ...) looking after - it's in strongest interest of all ppl running the infrastructure - e.g. miners at first place. |

Each of these trolls are being memorialized on this thread. The patent ignorance will be memorialized for all to see. Years from now we can quote these threads to them in other forums that will spring up and replace this one much like bitcoin will replace segwit1x altcoin! regards

That's not to say there won't be a place for Bitcoin Cash and others like it. In my opinion, consumers should see Bitcoin as a long term investment rather than a means to make every day purchases. If Bitcoin fees come down, that will change things, of course. Consumers obviously hate fees, but I wonder if higher fees help to make Bitcoin more valuable from an investor's perspective. |

With these high fees and bad usability BlockstreamBitcoin is only useful for the rich and speculators. The masses and the poor users need low fees - that's the thing. Sure speculators will still speculate - but better is make Bitcoin easy to use for the poor! |
