You have to lock up 90% for 9 months or something. Seems a perfect way fro developers to dump their premine at pumped prices....collect the coins but dont buy them.
I expect that some traders will see an opportunity to shake out some profit during the first nine months while airdrop participants are sitting on there onions.

No it doesn't, not at all. The trust was left by "trusted members" who didn't even care enough to really dig into what has happened. The first negative trust was left entirely unfounded simply due to a bunch of people nagging entirely unfounded point. The remaining two insist that the dev asked/demanded users to leave him positive trust, which is not true either. The users left the trust as a result of a "trusted member" misusing his trusted status, if not even deliberately abusing it. The project is doing exactly what it announced it would be doing so far and there's no serious indication of anything scammy going on, which can not be said about the vast majority of ICOs which do not even have a timeline for a prototype of a working product.

What wallet are you using for the airdrop? It says it was hacked here? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2058630.0

I wasn't aware of the hack; but that web wallet was not from the dev. It's a third party wallet so obviously I'd recommend using the official desktop wallet from their site. https://deeponion.org/index.php#download

Don't use these 3rd party wallets. I am starting to think that 3rd party wallets are created for the sole purpose of stealing people's funds....

It is definitely one of the most interesting crypto project out there. The developers are very active and distributing coins to the community members in an airdrop in a thought out process. The community is big and very active. There are lots of upcoming events in the roadmap https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2006010.0my opinion is that DeepOnion will be huge in the future.

Deeponion has a bright future. It has a helpful and supportive community and hardworking group of developers.
The community is always ready to share information and helping new members with questions.
And I consistently see new updates coming from the developers.
I suggest you to experience it yourself. You can go to Deep onion ANN thread and the forum in the official website.

You can also get some nice insights into the activity of the community by joining into the deeponion community itself. https://deeponion.org/community/. They now also want to do some crediting system within their own forum for quality contributions. So they are really focusing on to enlarge and motivate the community.

People throw the word scam around so much it's lost its meaning. What's rubbing some people the wrong way is that the dev has a lot of Onions in reserve; so thus he could get 'really' rich off of this. Ummmm... yea, I hope he does!! I want the Onions I have to be worth something as well! Think of it this way, if you think the below is a scam then Onion is a scam:
You live in a large apartment complex and frequently get package at the main office. Your neighbor gets a package of collectible toys once a week and asks you if you could pick up his package when you pick up your own, and in exchange he'll even give you one of the collectable toys. Given that you already stop by the main office every day you agree, after all it's really no extra work. Sure enough, you drop off the package and your neighbor gives you one of his collectables. This goes on for 40-weeks and afterward you have an awesome shelf of toys. Later, you find out the collectable toys are actually worth a thousand dollars a piece!
The question is... did you neighbor scam you?

The biggest problem is that it's supposed to be proof-of-stake. But users cannot meaningfully stake because the developers are staking with the pre-mined coins. The developers control the vast majority of Onions, which means that the community has zero say over (and did not consent to) the developers massively inflating the supply. Staking difficulty is so high as a result that DeepOnion's POS system is merely a means to inflate the supply directly into the developers' pockets. It obviously can't be used as a meaningful consensus mechanism when a few people control the vast majority of supply.
