I talked to 2 fan sellers, they both said that there was no different between 70% and 100%. If this is true, I would like set the GPU fan speed to 100% to make GPU cooler, what do you think about it?

Bull turds. Running fans at 100% 24/7 will kill them faster. period.

Fans are cheaper to replace, it's as simple as that for me.

What are the core temperatures on your GPUs?
I try to run mine below 70C, and I'm not sure if I'd see much of a difference in the lifetime of the cards if I ran them at 65C instead. No two GPUs are the same, so it's difficult to predict how long yours will last. (Also no guarantees that speeding up your fans from 70% to 100% would even see a 5C temperature difference.) Mine are 7700 and 7800 series cards, and I've owned them since 2012-2013.
It's up to you to decide if that extra cooling is worth the extra wear on the fans. (My gut says no, but check your GPU temperatures.)

If you say they are easy to replace fine.
They cool no better. At 95 percent or higher
So running at 100 percent wastes power. And does not cool better.
Then running at 95 percent,
I run fans 70 to 85 percent

Regardless if you run them at 70% or 100%, they will eventually die. 70% will last longer, however how many have actually had GPU fans die on them? It never happened to me. Aren't fans rated at like 100.000 hours or something?

Not all fans are same, for example with good ball bearing fan can last very long even on 100%. But yes on 70% will for sure last longer, and better to have problem with fan then with vrm or gpu.

Yes, fans could die in only 3 years instead of the usual 5. The real question is, does it matter?

It is not true, running at 100% fan speed will burn it out faster. They all burn out eventually, but that speed will guarantee it goes quicker.

It is not true, running at 100% fan speed will burn it out faster. They all burn out eventually, but that speed will guarantee it goes quicker. There is no use to put 100% fan speed to cool your card. I think 80-85% is more enough you will get a good result and the card life will be safe. Still, your card is getting heat then put one small fan to your cards that's it. don't burn your card to put high speed.

this. ball bearing fans will way outlast sleeve bearing fans. ive had ball bearing fans running 100% for years (case fans) and for gpus my ball bearing sapphire 5830s ran 100% for like two years 24/7 back in btc/ltc gpu mining days. fans are fine. i try to buy only gpus with ball bearing fans. and as dadesu mentions a fan its cheaper than blowing a gpus vrms. the cooler the electronics, the happier they are. cooler gpus also draw a bit less power also. that being said running say 85% vs 100% there is little difference in cooling, at least in my experience. and lower fan speed does equal longer life but a good fan will outlast the useful life of a gpu anyway. i run most of my mining gpus locked at 85%.

You will decrease the operating life, but like another user mentioned does it matter. These fans usually have been tested properly, depending on the brand.

100%? If you are really willing to replace them for sometime and wouldnt matter on the cost then its your decision but the usual percentage would be only on 70-80% the lesser it is the longer span of your fans life. Im hating on changing stuffs why would bother on 100 since the cooling would be still the same as far as a i observed.

yeah on the long run, yes, because there is a maximum of rounds that a fan can do, it's not unlimited, so by setting it at 100% you are aksing for more rounds per minute, and then you have a less lifespan

yeah on the long run, yes, because there is a maximum of rounds that a fan can do, it's not unlimited, so by setting it at 100% you are aksing for more rounds per minute, and then you have a less lifespan That's not the reason. The bearings heat up more due to increased friction and therefore their lifespan is reduced. Ball bearing fans have significantly less friction than sleeve bearings and are not affected by this as much. 100% speed on GPU fans not only is very noisy, it's also pretty much useless as after a certain point the fan stops being a bottleneck whatsoever.

While dual mining ethereum/sia coin I made the mistake of letting my fans stay too high (kept them around the ~85-95% marks) and 2 of the fans on my R9 390 Strix have shit the bed. It had been used for gaming about a year before I started mining, and was mining for about 1 month before the sleeve bearing went kaput. So I would say even if you had to get an external house fan (you can get one from amazon for like 15 dollars that will move a lot of air) and blow it inside your case to reduce the gpu fan speeds.

that is not the point the point is you are wasting power once you get into the 90-95% range the cooling is not improved and you waste power. Since the idea of running the gpus is making money then why waste power by setting them higher then 90%

Put a $20 box fan on the rig. It will lower the temperature of all the GPU's, so you don't need to run the card fans as high. Also cheaper and easier to replace. A box fan will draw about ~75 W, so you need to take than in consideration for your total power draw. I have one box fan on low covering a total of 10 cards on two rigs and all my cards fans are at less 71 Celsius and 70% fan speed. The fans on the cards directly in front of the box fan run at less than 50%
