CoinQwest is a coin that is born out of the idea to have something that still holds value against a standard commodity (Gold).

We will introduce a way of gold backing for the Qcoin starting 2018, we have 5,000,000 QCoins that will be sold to investors, with the money collected we will start buying gold, at this stage we already hold 300 grams of gold. It's because whoever set the pool up didn't input the right address to connect to.. As I said on the first page. I even told O.P. how to fix it. You actually use: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://46.105.28.146:3008 -O walletaddress:anything -w 256 -I 10 --thread-concurrency 8192  or something similar. The reason there's not being any blocks is because it's a walletbuilders coin.. They all do this. The difficulty retarget isn't set right and it climbs too high too quick for anyone to find a block. That's why it takes so long to find a block on such a small coin.

The message "No block source available" will disappear once you mine your first block.

Close your wallet and create the file Yourcoin.conf in the folder "%APPDATA%\coinqwest\". (replace "coinqwest" with the name of your coin)

Paste the following text into yourcoin.conf and save the file.

I created the .bat file and followed the exact instructions in the exact order. There are only 200 smth blocks plus 8 active connections, and I cannot mine anything at all. Minerd said at the beginning "no payout address provided, switching to getwork". I assume this should work for solo mining with your wallet open and that minerd gets your node/address, etc. Is this even working?

The Dev should have had a small premine for bounties to help push the coin. The coin also looks like it would have benefit from high mining rewards for early miners so later on the can be top of the rich list staking nicely. The Dev also seems to have dissapeared. Just wanted to note this sounds like an excellent response.  I really hope you succeed where others have failed, this could be huge.

Unless it's too late in your re-launch, I might suggest you consider newer algorithms instead of Scrypt.  People on this forum are very into algorithms like tribus and skunkhash, which leads to a lot more early mining and adoption.  Of course, Scrypt is perfectly fine if you think it's too late to change.

The issue comes from the mining pool http://lpool.name/ they suddenly closed their pool mining website, most of our miners were working on that pool, there need to be blocks generated to sync with the wallet.
Our mining pool will be done today, our dev Altcreator is working on it right now.

Please be patient things will be resolved.
