First the ICO itself is very important! It needs to be an interesting profit!

Signature campaign works good. Some ICO even just do signature campaign in the forum and without any social media marketing. But still the project has to be interesting and has the workable system. If not, no one is going to fund it. Investors are looking for higher yield so the project has to be a money maker too.

Right now we are building our product. Unlike other ICO's out there which just have the idea and not a product, we want to launch the ICO with a full working product in alpha version.

It will take some time, but worth the wait.

But we need more people for other works related to ICO, we are bunch of programmers who knows how to code, I have a small marketing and business background as well.

Nothing wrong in getting a helping hand from others.

So, just wanted to know my options.

Facebook ads and Google AdWords are the standards of advertising platforms regardless of what the project is (ICO/business/blog etc).
Reddit, specifically an ICOs subreddit is also vital.
Then there's bitcointalk. Signature campaigns, the ANN thread & localized versions of the ANN thread are important as well.

Besides these there isn't much else to do/worth doing. Make sure you use Slack/Discord/Telegram for communication and take proper security precautions so that your ICO funds are not stolen. Good luck!

They want from 2.5K for direct email campaign,
2.5K Featured listing on the targeted website for 2 weeks
2.5K for the ability to "sponsor" the distribution of their Report and have it distributed to several K+ investors

Before thinking about marketing an ICO, why not open an announcement thread and open a bounty campaign? This is just a suggestion. Don't even ask who are the people that makes an ICO successful because the ones who make an ICO a successful one is the concept, the team behind it and the investors as well. The normal budget being spent on ICO marketing and advertising for some ICO it is 30% of the tokens, for some 20% sometimes more. It depends on how much percent of you want to dedicate on the marketing and advertising.

This was our goal as well. We wanted to develop an actual product that has commercial traction before launching an ICO. Proof of market and ability to develop was important to us. The funds we hope to raise from our token sale will help us grow and market the product and increase its footprint.

Just make sure you communicate your message well and concisely.

And in conclusion, you want to start your own ico to grab money. Look you don't have any experience related to the how ico it works. So, your question looks weird. Too many people want to grab money through ico in this day.

Right now we are on the development phase, thus not doing any promotion. We intend to complete our product to atleast alpha stage so that our users can see the product before they intend to help us by buying our tokens.

The product is unique, so I think that can relate to the coin value. Other than that, the coin itself won't be unique, mostly will be using ethereum or waves.

We will also use our funds to get more developers and make our product to the beta stage and finally to the launch of the official project. We need more developers, testers, etc to speed things up.

If we get enough funds, it will also be used for other promotional work of the product, etc.

And in conclusion, you want to start your own ico to grab money. Look you don't have any experience related to the how ico it works. So, your question looks weird. Too many people want to grab money through ico in this day.

No one knows everything from mother's womb. Everyone learns from zero and so am I.

If there are tons of shit ICO's there, that doesn't mean all the ICO's have to be just to grab money.

Also, in ICO's or in any other investment, no one is forcing you, you can invest if you want.

And unlike many ICO's out there, we will be showing the product in real before you have to decide to invest or not.

We are in the middle of cryptomania now. People do not look into value, they are just interested how much X-times their coin will rise before they dump it. I did years of value investing on major stock exchanges and know what happens when people forget about value. But the time has not come yet

We as a team are not looking to raise money and run, rather to raise money, get more and much better development to go on our already built alpha product, etc.

It seems you are coming up with your own ICO, but one thing you should have in mind is that the product you want to sell must be marketable, if not your effort will amount to nothing
