Up for auction is a 1 BTC, series one casascius coin, in good condition. The coins public key is: 1AUYE382H7emgigA5nDjkK86uUptN6zBYQ Now, this may seem like an ordinary public key, but it's not! It is one of only 22 Series one coins that have a namespace collision with casascius gold coins. Just thought I might point out something that jumps out at me:
These coins cause me a small amount of "OCD anxiety" (if you can call it that) for being namespace collisions with my gold coins (that also start with 1Au). For what that's worth. Had I the foresight to know I wanted to do gold coins that way, these particular coins would never have existed, the stickers would have been trashed. So, they're special in a way! =) I have a small itch to bid on them just to take them and trash them for that reason, but...I don't think it's my place to. Good luck!
So the coins very own creator would like to see it destroyed! This must be an evil coin! Please, do your part for the Bitcoin community and make sure it finds it way to safe hands - so you can destroy it or encase it safely in carbonite so it's evil intent can never be fulfilled. Otherwise, who knows what I might do with it? Rules: - The auction will end at 11:00pm GMT (10:00pm UTC) Wednesday 13th May 2013.
- Starting bid 3 BTC.
- Bid increments of at least 0.1 BTC.
- Any valid bid from 10:51pm GMT onwards extends the finish time by 10 minutes.
- I will include free postage (signed for on delivery).

No I can't. Should be fine, you posted the correction pretty quickly, before any bids.

In the rules I put the bid increments at 0.1 BTC. In retrospect this is too high, but I have to keep it to avoid any possible complaints. Unless either of you object, I will treat Otoh's bid as 3.3 BTC and mc_lovin's as 3.4 BTC. Thanks

Recent auctions have been between 700-800, they have slowly went down from the 1000 marl. You wont get 1000 now a days.

True, they have been going for slightly less recently. Anything close to $700-$800 would be amazing, though I'm not expecting that much. I considered putting it on ebay, but I really can't stand them

Quite right, so both are valid bids! This is why I lost my job as a professional auctioneer I'm in the UK and it's 15:30pm here. According to http://time.is/UTC, UTC is 14:30pm - which is almost the same as forum time.

For clarification:
The auction will end at 10:00pm UTC Wednesday 15th May 2013 (Today!)
We will take forum time to be UTC and will use the timestamps of posts to determine if bids are valid.
Any valid bid from 09:51pm UTC onwards extends the finish time by 10 minutes.

Re speculation about the price, 30 series 1 sold on coblee's auction of May 1st for a total of 90 btc, so 3 btc a piece (1 btc = between $125 & $95 at the time): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=186198.0;all

I'm not sure if the forum time is universal or relates to where your IP comes from, as for me atm it's 410 pm whereas GMT/UTC is actually 3.10 pm now
