so i built 6 identical miners, 6990+5870, new to linux so followed http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=7514.0;all

5 of them work fine, but one just stops responding to ssh/rdp/pings when i start pocldm mining on any of the cores(after like aminute of mining), it wont even reply to pings, wierd thing is it responds again after afew minutes then blacks out again with  no access, it dosnt reboot and keeps on mining again. temps and everthing have seemed fine and it also gets the right the megahashes when it mines, only problem is it just goes on and off with 5-10 min intervals.

how do i troubleshoot this, preferably try to fix it over ssh first before i try to reinstall everything.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Try connecting a monitor to see if the console is responsive when it goes out as it might be a bad network port.  Maybe try starting one card or the other and see if it runs fine.

thanks for the reply, it only seems to happen when i mine, it stays connected if i dont mine, as soon as i mine( with either card) after a minute or 3 it starts going in and out of the blackouts. as it happends it stops responding to ssh/ping.

could it maybe be faulty memory? its so wierd that the GPUs dont seem to crash but just keeps on mining as soon as it comes back.

i dont have physical access to it right now, but i guess i will go check later and maybe reinstall as i dont know any other way to troubleshoot it.
