Hi
I'm new to this but I had some coins in my Coinbase wallet that I wanted to move into my Nano S Ledger. So I pressed receive on my Nano S Ledger, scanned the QR code through the coinable app and transferred them. It took a long time for the transaction to be confirmed with Coinbase but since it has, nothing is appearing in my Nano S Ledger.
I'm worried they've gone, is there anything I can do to try and recover them? Pretty worried but I'm hoping that this is just a newbie mistake.
Thanks

Check a blockexplorer (look for your receiving address) to make sure that you actually received the funds. If you don't find any recent transactions, It means the problem is coming from Coinbase and you should contact them. If you can clearly see the transaction on the blockchain then It's from Ledger Nano S part. I believe the Ledger Nano S works in Electrum and Mycelium etc. If these options allow you to see the balance as well then I suggest trying them instead of using their Chrome extension just to see from where the problem is coming.

There was a similar thread created here by someone who was confused about Coinbase not sending payments. Perhaps Coinbase is taking a while to process withdrawals. As you probably know, you don't actually control your coins when they're held in Coinbase and it's Coinbase's responsibility to spend the coins for you. Are you sure Coinbase sent? Did they give you a transaction ID?

I think coinbase is delay when you are sending it to other wallet.. but if you sending your bitcoin to coinbase to coinbase i think its instant base on my experience.. And Ledger nano s i one of the good offline wallet. Like other said to verify that you are receiving your bitcoin better to use blockchain explorer to see if you are receiving your bitcoin from coinbase..

Hi I have tried setting up my Nano S Ledger with Electrum and it's still not showing. the transaction is apparently completed but nothing is appearing, and I only used the QR code from the Nano S Ledger app to direct Coinbase to, so I'd hope that was the correct one. The transaction ID is: https://blockchain.info/address/12koSJgNGSVWbPfN8G4ZViy3iKpGxPJ1hL so it looks like it went through. I'm really confused

Have you used your Nano S with just the Chrome bitcoin app? Where did you get the QR code from, were you in Ledger's Bitcoin App?

Used with the Chrome bitcoin app but have since also tried Electrum too and nothing has changed. And yes I got the QR code from the Ledger's bitcoin chrome app and scanned it to my iPhone with the coinbase app. I've since tried exactly the same procedure by buying a smaller amount and it credited to my wallet straight away, so I'm really worried I've lost the coins

Thanks, that does seem to be very similar to the issue I'm also having - hopefully there's something wrong with their system temporarily then. Will have a look!

Looks like the transaction is already been confirm and according to the address almost 1 btc plus is in this https://blockchain.info/address/12koSJgNGSVWbPfN8G4ZViy3iKpGxPJ1hLIt means its should be inside of your ledger nano you can also export the private keys and import it in electrum. . Just to see if your bitcoin is there this is much easier Backup the private keys of this 12koSJgNGSVWbPfN8G4ZViy3iKpGxPJ1hL And much better to contact the support you can use the contact email from this site https://www.ledgerwallet.com/contact

How can I access the private key? I have been looking for that but I couldn't find a way to do it through the ledger nano. Is there any chance that 1) it's still on the way to me, even though it's confirmed?, or 2) the QR code accidentally went to a different wallet, or 3) the ledger nano created a separate wallet as the was the first time it was used and that's since been overwritten? Thanks so much for your help, I'm pretty stressed by all this!

courboy sorry you are still having a problem. Has Ledger support been of any help? As last resort you could always wipe your Nano S and restore from your seed. It sounds to me like Ledger is having a problem with their back end server. I had an Ether transaction lost for 48 hours once until they got the backend working again.

Nope unfortunately not. I have tried restoring through the seed and restoring data but nothing has come through. It looks like the wallet address it went to isn't in my receiving addresses, but I have no idea how this happens. Either: 1. The Coinbase iOS QR scanner was wrong 2. The Chrome Ledger app receive QR code was wrong I can't think of any other explanation unless anybody has a wise ideas? I'll pay 0.2 BTC to whoever can help me if that helps as an incentive...
