Looks more and more like the initial mention of 800 tokens to 1 BTC was a honeytrap to get people engaging with it and making the project go viral. However, now that the rewards are narrowing, it suggests that they are trying to limit the supply prior to launch. I hope something comes of it as I managed to signup with a throwaway email and I did manage to get a few referrals under me...

Time will tell and I'll keep an eye on this thread.

I dont sure its scam or not. but in my openion it might be scam because :-
1. They give $200 worths of coin that is huge for only registaring.
2. there is no verification needed for getting rewards so people must be create multiple account for rewards.
So it looks like scam but not sure.
Totally agree, it's a very big money only for sign up and there is no control for creating some new accoounts per one person.
Yes, No email verification it is easy for people to create multiple user accounts. I think they want to steal data email and password. so tips from me if you want to participate you should not use the primary email and use the same password as you use it where you save bitcoin as in the exchanger.

As it has no control? you will not be able to register other accounts because most likely tied to your IP. How would you not tried to get even by changing IP you all Ravnoparavie in an existing Cabinet

I truly think this is a dirty scam.
The website has been quickly made without the elements required to do things well : If you fill a form to launch a campaign, there is no verification that the form is filled properly : you can send an empty form!!!
In the settings, there is nothing to change your password or delete your account.
When you're looking for informations about this project you find absolutely nothing. Not a word about the team or creators, no traces about the project details...
When you're looking for the project name on the web, you find some obscure articles on reddit written by a guy who has just subscribed on reddit... When you take a look to the favorable comments you also that they are written by new members...
Et caetera. Et caetera.

In one word : be careful people!

Quite clearly this is the guy who set it up. Going from the only ICO listed which is the site itself and the name / profile image matches with his LinkedIn.

https://www.linkedin.com/in/cornell-holloway-86727249/

I wonder if we can find out more about him?

I joined coinstarter but I did not use my personal email,
I use disposable email, because  gift they give is very big, it makes me suspicious.

Never use your personal email to register, and don't use the same password with other accounts.
you can also install google authenticator to strengthen the security system

It's true that it looks like a scam, but right now they're giving away free coins. Even if it's a scam, if the coin gets accepted to ANY exchange, that's some free money.

Who found out what?
Important question. Nobody checked the site for viruses? What does your antivirus say?

The distribution will be one more day. It's strange.

Who else knows what information?)

Technically they only show you the coins on your account. As long as they don't send them to a wallet you control, you have nothing.

Maybe not scam but if you are not interested in starting a ICO or crowdfunding this is not for you. As for today you have to go stage 5 which means sart new ICO to move tokens to Waves wallet.
Coinstarter:
Wallets are special places where your tokens live. Every ICO you support, will create it's own wallet. You'll see the tokens you have received. You'll also see as your tokens are getting ready to move to your blockchain wallet. When the project reaches Stage 5 is when your tokens are ready to move to your blockchain wallet.

Stage 1 - Angel Round
Projects without proven track record must start an Angel Round. After the Angel Round they can start a Series A if they succeed at delivering their promises. Angel rounds are capped at $100k worth of Bitcoin. After an Angel Round the company may proceed to Stage 2 or Stage 5.

Stage 2 - Series A
Projects that deliver a product and has a promise to grow, will be able to start a Series A.
Existing companies with a proven track record may be able to start a Series A without an Angel round. After Stage 2 the company may proceed to Stage 3 or Stage 5.

Stage 3 - Series B
If the the company is succeeding but needs more cash in order to achieve their required growth rate they may start a Series B. After Stage 3 the company may proceed to Stage 4 or Stage 5.

Stage 4 - Series C
This is an optional stage that may needed for some companies.

Stage 5 - Coin released to the public.

But this only goes for ICOs on their platform, doesn't it? Coinstarter itself won't go through these stages and we were promised coinstarter coins.

I've also signed up, I didn't really trust it from scratch and made sure not to use any password that would be any close or the same with any other website I use.
I really doubt that they're giving out $200 worth of coins like that, they will either, never let you cash out/Obtain your so-called tokens, or they will be of zero value.

It's probably a scam, but i signup anyway! It's free tokens!!!

But I think it's a scam more and more. I've got some friends to register and I didn't receive any referral tokens.
Yesterday one refferal will give you 25 tokens. Now it's only 5.

Anyone missing referrals since yesterday?

It is hard to believe that 800 tokens = 1 BTC
Because to get the token is easy,
I sign up with a different password, yes although the expectations of this ICO is small but Im just trying and curious about their project.
